Great Product!
Easy to adjust right out of the box. Made well and reasonably priced. Very pleased with purchase. I’m recovering from recent surgery and this gives me the extra support I needed to help prevent a fall. Lightweight and easy to move cane along beside you.

Sigh of Relief: Confidence in Mom's New Mobility!
Perfect, right out of the box! My mom recently suffered a hip/leg/knee injury due to overstrain, arthritis, degenerative discs and osteopenia. We were unable to find her regular single ("one prong"?) cane the day after visiting the ER, and I was about ready to run out to a pharmacy and pay way too much for something she probably would've hated, so I did some research online instead and found this highly-rated quad prong cane by HealthSmart for half the price I was expecting. Fast shipping - we had it within a couple days and couldn't be more pleased.Mom doesn't use/need the bottom grip like I thought she would, but it's peace of mind knowing it's there especially from certain sitting positions or angles. It's very sturdy and she loves the quad prongs! (Her other one prong cane would always fall over/slide off wherever she left it/propped it so she stopped using it. It would still be handy to use as a back-up in tight spaces or as a secondary with her other hand, but we haven't yet uncovered it from her recent move, and stopped bothering to look!)I've noticed this new cane is like her trusted buddy, always at the ready. Lightweight (she can easily pick it up with one hand), but sturdy. I almost bought a second one, so she could have one in the bedroom and living room...but she found a way to place it on the seat of her rollater (what I call her "wheely walker" - a subsequent purchase on Amazon so she could increase her mobility faster across larger spaces) and take it to and fro from room to room. She's able to maneuver quite well now on her own. She hasn't had any problems tripping over the prongs or them getting in her way or anything (mom is tiny: about 5 feet and weighs less than 80 lbs). When she's using this cane, I feel confident that I don't have to walk behind her/beside her to make sure's she ok, which is a huge relief on both of us. Especially when I can't be there with her. The added independence/shot of confidence is really a blessing. Thank you HealthSmart!Highly recommended!

Superior stability
This quad cane offers superior stability. I use this when in the yard because it will stand alone on most surfaces, including gravel and grass, although it occasionally falls over if placed on an incline. This quad base offers more support than any other type of cane, so that I feel very safe when walking outside. Inside the house, I use a rolling walker, but it is much easier to go out with this quad cane. The sit-to-stand option is a helpful feature if you need assistance standing.I own 4 canes, and I've had some experience with them over the years for various injuries, most recently a broken leg. The HurryCane is the cane I always select when I am going out to doctor's appointments, etc. as my favorite, all-purpose cane because it is comfortable to grip, lightweight, pivots to make walking more natural, and will stand on its own (with careful placement on select flooring). However, the quad cane is much more stable. For comparison, I have shown a picture of each cane from the front, as well as an overhead view so you can better see the base of each cane. This quad cane is shown on the right. Here is a detailed comparison:Basic cane (shown on left in picture): this was issued by the hospital a few years ago as I was getting out of a wheelchair after pelvic fractures. The candy-cane style hand is moderately comfortable. It is about half the weight of the Palo Medical Apallo & this quad cane. The basic cane offers the least support and stability because it has a small base.Palo Medical Apallo self-standing cane (pictured second from the left): this mini-quad cane offers more stability than the HurryCane, which has a smaller tripod base. However, but the Palo Medical Apallo cane is far less stable than this quad cane. It will stand on some flat carpets and rough floors like travertine, where the HurryCane often will not. It is also about twice as heavy as the HurryCane and a little lighter than the quad cane. If you need a sit-to stand feature, this cane has one in a compact design. There is an area for storage in the handle, with enough room for a key, emergency money, or a few emergency pills. Overall, unless you need an added feature like the more stable base, light, storage, or sit-to-stand assistance, I recommend that you spend your money on the HurryCane. This sit-to-stand cane was also purchased on Amazon for $50.The HurryCane (pictured second from right) is lightweight and comfortable, offering good support. Its contoured handle is the most comfortable of the 4 canes. I am 5'2" and it fits my height comfortably, in the lowest setting. I measured and it can be extended ~7" more to accommodate taller individuals. It comes in more interesting colors, like blue, as compared to this quad cane. The pivoting action of the HurryCane allows for more natural walking than the quad cane. My husband calls the HurryCane my "Ninja cane," because of the way it folds and unfolds, so it has added a little humor to life as well. Also, the HurryCane comes with a cover to stow away (eg, in your purse) while traveling, plus it is made in the USA. The HurryCane was purchased on Amazon for ~$40.

My Wife Benefitted Greatly from this Cane
My wife needed radiation treatment following chemotherapy, which left her weak and unsteady on her feet. I bought her this cane and it worked well for her. She used it to stand up from sitting and to walk without falling or stumbling, which had happened before she got this cane. It is light to use and provides excellent stability. I highly recommend it.
