these are gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces. I received one at a Christmas gift exchange and came right home to order another for a friend.Ideal for small vignettes on a coffee table or sideboard. Caution if you are inexperienced with reclaimed wood: be sure to protect it from spills and do not wipe it with a wet cloth because it does change the appearance of the wood. I learned that the hard way. Even so, the couple of spots that changed on mine just add to the rustic and unique character of the piece. Great value for the cost and it arrived quickly even in the busy holiday season.

Love the picture online,BUT I needed this for a wedding this weekend and it arrived today with one handle missing and the wood is falling apart so bad that I could not put more hardware on it if I tried! In my opinion, it should not have left the seller in this condition.

I am rating it 5 stars.. but for kind of a different reason. I think if I was using it as a tray, I would be a little concerned about how HEAVY it is! But I had planned to make a sign for my nephew and save myself the hassle of cutting and constructing the barn wood surface to work on.. The piece is extremely sturdy and well put together and put up with me removing the handles, and driving u-nails in to secure rope.

Tray needs a light sanding to avoid getting splinters, for the price should have come that way. This is why only a 3 star rating. Will also be adding polyurethane to protect this tray from getting stained and for ease of cleaning it. Otherwise, it is the look we wanted!
