Best of their christmas scents for general winter
This is my favourite of St Eval's christmas range. It is the possibly the least christmas-specific but it is so wintery and cosy and it smells so wonderful. Smells just like thyme but with other wintery notes. Great for the whole season so if you gave someone at christmas it would still work to be burned all through january

I have always bought St. Ival candles. This is my favourite so far. I keep opening the tin to have another sniff. I don't think it's going to be going to the intended recipient. It's mine. Winter Thyme

Couldn’t smell any fragrance
The tin looks nice and makes a cute Christmas gift. However although the candle itself smells nice, when I lit it I couldn’t smell anything even after having it on for hours. Other candles have made the room smell really nice but this was like smelling fresh air.

Damaged
Candle itself is nice but very irritated that the tin lid was messily taped on. This resulted in sticky mess on the lid which is not removed by washing & scrubbing and removing the tape caused a small amount of tearing to the decorative paper. I can live with that as it’s at the side but the sticky smear on the lid is very visible.It is unnecessary to tape the lid on as it fitted so tightly I was unable to remove it and had to ask my husband.Won’t order any more.
