Great Book for a child! But aren't Golden Books always that way.

I was looking for a golden book for my son that would be different from the typical Disney ones we already had and I found these. His father and I are huge comic and action hero fans, so this and the others like it are perfect. Not only do they intro the characters to him, but the villains as well. It lays the foundation nicely for when we let him start watching the movies. I think he'll be able to identify them much easier as he'll already be familiar with them from the books.

Cute story, easy to read for the younger set, easy to read to the youngest set! I bought this to go with the 12" Titan Thor, for my 3 year old. He's sandwiched between two girls, so he was in need of some super-hero books and toys to get away from all the princess stuff. He LOVES this book and the others in the series. Marvel was SMART to partner with Little Golden Book on this one.

As a Thor fan, I bought this to add to my collection. It's absolutely beautiful.

I would recommend this for any child, even though I know that in Norse mythology, Thor was a middle-aged blacksmith with fiery red hair and a black scar on his forehead from a workplace accident, that his usual mode of transportation was a cart drawn by goats, and that he had a wife and two adult sons. Let the kids enjoy the North American commercial Thor and learn about the "real" one later.

My 3-year-old grandson loves this book. He wants to know details about all the Super Heroes. He was Thor for Halloween!

Thor, the Son of the Gods, lives up to the Epic Tales that have followed his character since early Roman/Greek Legends. Son of Gods, Thor with his hammer performs stupendous feats of courage, performing deeds of bravery and courage to save Human characters and defend the honour of the Gods.

My son loves all those heroes and the story and the drawings perfectly fit for a 5 year old!

The book is everything that an early years reader who enjoys Marvel will love.My little boy is still at nursery and has these read to him at bed time.With colourful pictures, it provides the right type of text and simple story for non or early readers.Hard cover with paper pages, it will also last well.
