It counts.
Green LEDs, red filter. Really smart. You can see the digits but probably not as well as if the filter was the right color. No instructions whatsoever. Five wires on a connector. Two wires soldered directly to the circuit. Again, really smart. Obviously the board was re-purposed from some other use. Label is in Chinese. Pin 1 is power. 8 to 24 Volts. Pin 2 and 3 are ground. Pin 4 is reset. Internal pullup to 5 volts. You ground it to reset counter to zero. Blue flying wire is count up with internal pullup. Ground to count up by one. Black wire is count down. Does not count down past zero. I have no clue what pin 5 does. According to other reports it's supposed to be "pulse". Not pulled up. Possibly not connected. Other versions of this meter measure RPM. I suspect that's what it's for and it isn't used on the up/down counter version. OK for the money. Would be better if the designers were not idiots and there was an instruction sheet.
