Good product, unfulfilled promise.
Because this item took very long to ship, I received the following message from the seller on 10/29/2019:Message from seller KOOL'N FX:"Hi Edward - Thank you for your order. We wanted to let you know that due to the wildfires in Northern California and the extremely high winds, there are power shutdowns happening across the state.Our warehouse in Sonoma County is in the evacuation zone and without power so our team is working remotely. Mostly useless
The photos were not really what mine looked like. Some people have posted pictures and it looks like it does in the description but the one I got was mostly empty of gel so even though it heated up and could have been perfect, it turned cold quickly. I found other heated wraps to be a better use of money.

Mixed Bag
The good:When properly cooled down this thing can deliver a LOT of cooling. It's uninsulated, so I can feel my entire hand cool down while wearing. The thin form and shape lets it wrap really well, and give close contact for my entire thumb.The bad:It is very lightweight, and not a lot of thermal mass. Wearing it for 10 minutes will fully defrost it, especially because it's cooling down an area that has a lot of blood running through it. The price is also not competitive for its performance. At $30, I feel like I paid more for the fancy packaging than the product itself. If it was $20, I would be completely satisfied.Overall:I don't think this is the right product for chronic tendinitis. Absolutely the correct product for a targeted sports injury, and can be useful for incidental arthritis flareups. I'm using it in combination with a normal immobilizer for a case of blackberry thumb, and think it's useful to keep around.

Not very good if you want to use it for ice therapy.
I bought this because I have osteoarthritis in my right thumb. It fits well. However, it only stays cold enough to actually provide benefit about 5 minutes. There isn't a lot of gel in it (half of less than what it appears in the pictures) but a lot of air.I gave it two stars because of the fit and because the straps are long enough I am going to try to put a small ice pack under it and use this to hold it in place.
