many reviews indicated it came perfectly square some indicating "as good as a Starrett", I also have machinist squares and mine did not come square. Further evaluation shows the 45 deg portion is not 45 deg. I'm unsure if I'll keep it or return it. I can use a jewelers file and get is square but there is nothing I can do regarding the angles between the 90 and 45 deg faces.The scale has very sharp edges and its kind of nice that is only goes to 1/16th ", makes it easier to readThe price is good.

Exactly what you’d expect it to be, I used it for a few times building some shelving and then gave it to my mom to use for her arts and crafts.

The top and bottom metric marks should be in opposite order. So no matter measures from which end, it has a zero starting point. Unfortunately it’s wrong and top&bottom marks are in same order for the metric marks side.

The "keeper" that rides in the groove in the rule is too small. When I loosen the nut to adjust the rule, it falls out of the slot. The steel ruler is nice enough.

The square checked out as accurate, time will tell how well it will stand up to wear during use.I like its compact size and easy-to-spot color.I will be buying more just to have them handy wherever I work.

its not a machinist's square by any means but its very close...you want accuracy out to .0001" then get a starret

Nice size, a bit bigger in hand than the Empire or Swanson, but unfortunately not perfectly square. So it's ok for rough marking, but it's not a precision square.

a wee bit of slack, maybe 1mm at 12"....to much for my taste, but it works in a pickle
