Being in the Marine Corps as a 0331, there were times when we had the luxury of sleeping on cots very similar to these, inside of the quonset huts. Those cots were always squeaking, and yeah I know, they're old, but you can see a huge difference in advancements of this build. This thing is strong and absolutely comfortable! I definitely would recommend this! In fact, I have to buy 7 cots, so I figured I'll buy this and test it out. They won my vote, but not just because how comfortable, strong and fast it is to set up (less than 20 seconds), but because their customer service is phenomenal.......Now, everyone makes mistakes, and when I opened my package, I noticed that I failed to get the side bag that's supposed to come with it. I sent the company a message and the very next day, they replied back with"Thank you for the feedback and compliments. Truly appreciate that. Sorry it was missing that hanging storage bag at the head of the cot. I will have shipping send that out to you this week. And yes it should have been included so our fault. Thank you again."Once again, everyone makes mistakes and because they rectified this error immediately, there is no point of taking away any stars from a company that produces a great product, and corrects their mistakes.I do want to mention that I RARELY ever do reviews. I feel very strong about this product! I didn't receive any money or free stuff for my review. My son is big. 300 pounds big with 52" shoulders. I have bought other cots before but they were either too narrow, or they just plain collapsed after a few nights on them. This cot is different because the frame is made of STEEL. Although a bit heavier the strength of steel parts and frame will last a lot longer than aluminum framed ones. Sure it is a bit heavier but I really don't picture anyone going backpacking with a full cot anyway.The first night was a sleepover at our house after a party. Instead of having him sleep on an air mattress on the floor as we usually do, we set up this cot and had him sleep there. The cot worked perfectly and he woke up feeling rested. He was so taken with how the cot performed he asked us if he could take it pig hunting with him on the weekend. The hunting place is very remote and oftentimes they just sleep in the front seat of their trucks, which is very uncomfortable. This time he slept on the cot in his down sleeping bag with a blue tarp bungeed to the truck bed.The next morning he had to be shaken awake by his hunting buddies because he was so asleep. That had never happened before. When he returned he told me that the organizer worked very well as a place to keep his toothbrush, tooth paste and a bottle of water. It also was big enough to hold his handgun in case the bears came visiting. Well to make a long story short, he will not give us back our cot!!! We are going to need two more for when we visit our daughter in her house that is being completely remodeled.We especially like the fact that Earth Products is not afraid to stand behind their product with a Five (5) Year Warranty. They are even a company here in the USA!!! That, and the fact that it is made of steel, and very thick canvas gives us piece of mind that we are going to have a functioning cot for years to come.I love it when I come across a product that just WORKS...this one does!!! This cot is wonderful. Very sturdy, no squeezing or other noises when you move. Nice and long. Makes sleeping while camping a nice experience. The cot does not sag so are easy to sit on and get up from. I have a very bad back and this is working for me. No more air mattress on the floor of the tent ⛺️ which was hard for me to get up from ground every time. We also like the attachable pockets. The pillow is a joke it is only about 6 inches square 😁 Not a problem for us we gave them to our grandsons. These cots are easy to set up and easy to put away into the duffle bag. We are very happy with our purchase.

I am an autistic homeless woman. I stand 5'5", and this is comfortable. It's heavy, but I put it on the cargo trailer for my bicycle along with the rest of my beddings. Here's how it goes.You take it out, and pull the legs at the head and feet up and around, to the side the legs at the middle are. Get the legs straight, open it up, and add the bars at the foot and head to keep it from collapsing. I have been using this as my bed. I am not disappointed. Also had a friend who stands above 6 foot, who injured his back sleep on it for a while, and as homeless people we think it's fantastic. When I get into a place, I'm going to keep this as my bed, and I'm going to get another one for the next time I have to help someone recover from injuries outside. Thanks for this bed, no sign of deterioration yet, this was a good buy.UPDATESo the poles that hold it open from both ends, are small enough to fit through the end bits of a teton sleeping bag of mine. The lip at the head end is folded around the pole at the top. My sleeping bag stays in place all night. Just wanted to point that particular gear combination out.April Update: Not even a joke, I'm still using this bed.Got this on October 1st, 2019.It's September 23rd, 2022 and I'm still using this as my bed. 100% serious, I haven't noticed any changes in this thing... I am pretty hard on stuff, and aside from the typical aged dirtiness which looks like it would be easy to clean... this thing ages like a vampire.
