Looks like it’s working :/
Kind of hard to tell if these are doing their job unless you break one in half and take a close look at how the bacteria is building up in the middle of the media, I’ve had these for a few months now in my filter and it seems to be working quite well, I could see an improvement in the water quality and the health of my fish, I am sure it is a combination of the filter and the pads that I use as well but I have no doubt there are beneficial pluses to this bacteria media.I use these through the recommendations from the pond guy on YouTube, I think it’s always a good idea to seek out professional advice and instructions.I have a exterior filtration system, the name I cannot tell right off this second, the very bottom are use large golf ball sized media to stir up the muck, then a tray of three different filters, course, medium and fine and then the top three trays has this media in it As recommended by the pond guy. I am very happy with how it’s coming along and would recommend this to anybody.

Works as advertised...excellent product and maintains my nitrates in my 190 gallon discus tank...I place this in my sump and now I have a total of around 70lbs...

Teuer und schlecht für Pflanzen
Seitdem ich das biohome in meinem fluval fx 6 im Einsatz habe, holpert und klopft es im Inneren. Ich hab ihn paar Mal aufgemacht, aber noch nicht die richtige Position für die Sticks gefunden. Das größte Problem ist aber die massive Algenbildung, die seitdem eingesetzt hat. Biohome scheint viel Stickstoff rauszufiltern, was in einem fischreichen Aquarium sicher der Wasserqualität dienlich ist, aber in einem Pflanzenaquarium nicht. Die Pflanzen sind unterversorgt und die Algen nutzen die Schwäche und gewinnen die Oberhand. Hätte mich über die Eigenschaften vorher besser informieren sollen und kann das nur bedingt biohome ankreiden. Dennoch, viel zu teuer und nicht für jeden Einsatzfall geeignet. Würde es nicht nochmal bestellen. 3/5
