Weird words for children to learn
It had very weird words for toddler learning. For example U is for Urchin. Why not U is for umbrella which is a bit simpler. Wouldn't recommend!

Nicely designed, bright and cheerful, and good fun too
Dominoes is a traditional game for adults often played in pubs with 28 numbered tiles, but this is a lovely adaptation designed for ages 3+ according to the box, and 36 months - 9 years from the product information so a good age range. The set uses bigger tiles, ideal for smaller hands and replacing the usual dots found on adult sets with brightly coloured animals which immediately attract attention. For two to four players, the object of the game is as the adult version less the points scoring element – match your tiles to the one at either end of the ones already laid out and the winner is who gets rid of his dominoes first. This ‘Into The Wild’ dominoes set features a variety of land and sea creatures including a tiger, jellyfish, crocodile, zebra and toucan amongst others. If the child can’t match the animal each background is a different, bright block of a single colour which adds another dimension to the game for younger players to assist matching.Made by Shuffle™, each domino measures 11cm x 5½ cm x 2mm thick and are thick, good quality cardboard. However using that material this is potentially a game where parental control is advisable to save the tiles getting creased or damaged with too rough play – they aren’t plastic like real dominoes and virtually indestructible as a result, but the finish is shiny so could be carefully wiped down if sticky fingers have been at play. This is ideal if a child has a friend around, or for siblings looking for activities on a rainy or dark day when they are limited to indoor play. The nice thing here is aside from excitement and competition offered the set will also aid cognitive development, with the child developing language and recognition skills through being shown a tile. You could just as easily use them as cards, asking the child to pick out the one with the tiger for instance, which is a good distraction for younger children. The storage box is also very sturdy cardboard, so everything here is fully recyclable which as a dedicated recycler is a feature I like a lot when the product has reached the end of its life, and it really doesn’t take up much space on a shelf when not in use. There is an included A5 paper instruction leaflet which will show the rules to children unfamiliar with the game. The typeface is clear as are instructions, which explain the rules and how to play with different numbers of players simply, and the excitement of keeping your tiles hidden. At £7.58 this is no money at all, and was eagerly accepted by a four year old grandson who was soon playing with his elder siblings, with all enjoying the game and coming back to it repeatedly. One thing I miss however is the fun to be had standing dominoes on their end and making a ‘run’ – the 2mm thickness renders this impossible, and they aren’t heavy enough due to the material used even if they were twice as thick. The eco credentials make up for that however, and I appreciate that young children would be unlikely to have the fine motor control to do this. Nicely designed, bright and cheerful, and good fun too.

Fun first game with bright, bold illustrations
If you're looking for a first game for a toddler then this would be a good place to start. My 3 year old loves dominoes at his grandparents so I knew he'd love this. There are 28 dominoes in the box with 6 different animals pictured and 'Into the Wild' printed on the back. They are big but not overly big so easy to pick up. The imagery is cute but I do wonder why the dolphin is wearing a jumper. Even if they don't recognise the animals they can easily match the coloured backgrounds which are bright and bold. Downside is you cant stand these on end to knock them down to they are restricted to playing dominoes but they keep my little one entertained.

Well illustrated more fun version of Dominoes for Kids
This is a great little set of dominoes with lovely animal illustrations, which is far more interesting and fun for kids than standard numbered versions. Each piece is approx 2mm thick and difficult to bend easily without putting a lot of force on them.It comes in a compact box and will no doubt provides hours of fun. Kids will no doubt just enjoy looking at the animal pictures too even if they are not playing the game. You could even use these to help with animal memory recognition for very young kids.Well priced, definitely recommended.===EDIT 23 July 2021===This has become a firm favourite, and an often requested game to play! The beauty is in the simplicity and nice artwork.Hope you found this to be 'helpful'

Fun and bright set of dominoes
Really lovely set of picture dominoes with animals instead of the traditional dots.Like normal dominoes you want to try and be the first to get rid of all your tiles by matching them to the ones that are laid out. It's a lovely simple game that younger kids can play with some adult support. The 8 and 10 year old can play easily without needing any help as they understand the basics of the game. The tiles are made of glossy cardboard - they are sturdy enough but younger children might damage them without supervision when playing. For under £8 they are excellent value

Great fun
This is a great game for parents to play with toddlers or for kids to play themselves. It is a nice colored dominoes pack, featuring animals and using bold colors to attract kids. It is a good game for kids to learn calling to see if they are smaller or to learn to match colors and it’s a great fun for bigger kids who can play it and understand the logic of the game. The pieces are made of cardboard which seems quite durable and unless played with it with wet hands let’s say then it will be hard to get damaged. 28 caught in the back and they are big enough for kids to handle it and easy to hold and to handle.

Fab
For well under a tenner these represent good value for money. It is essentially your traditional dominoes game but made more attractive to a young person. There are six fun cartoon animals to choose from and each one is drawn lovely. There’s lots of bright attractive colours. They have cleverly produce different backgrounds for each animal so that it makes the gameplay easier. The dominoes are quite well-made and look like they will withstand a little bit of abuse. I like these types of games as it encourages problem-solving and things like dexterity from an early age as well as stimulating visual senses. Recommended.

Bright, Fun and Wild Dominoes
Great set of dominoes that encourage little ones through play to use their memory as they explore and match animals of the world. These are bright, colourful and well made of cardboard that will withstand a bit of abuse and seem really durable. If your little one is young, you can adjust to simply match the bold colours, or get more difficult by matching up the animals. There are 28 'wild' dominoes in the box and the only niggle i have is that maybe the box is a bit big for 28 dominoes, but they're easily stored in a smaller box. At £7.58 (at time of reviewing) a great addition to our games collection.
