Temperature gun came in earlier than expected. Box was well protected (unlike a few other items in the giant box that got smashed and shuffled). I was able to install the batteries and turn the gun on by myself. One of the best parts about this item is that it came with its own battery. Some items come with batteries, but they are usually the smaller AA's or something. This gun requires a 9 volt, which I don't usually have on hand, so I was VERY grateful that the battery was included. The LCD screen is big enough for me to read without having to squint and the instructions are easy enough to follow that I could glance at them and figure out what I was looking for. The laser or beam itself is really nice. Its not just a small dot like the last one I had. Its a cluster of points that focus on the center dot. It makes it easier for me to make sure I'm pointing it exactly where I want to. The case is also nice. I can put it in the sleeve and shove it in the utility drawer and not have to worry that something will scratch the display or hurt it. The only thing that I wish was different is that it came programmed with Celsius and I had to figure out how to change it to Fahrenheit. Overall really good product for helping me cook and drive my cat crazy.

this thermometer works great. I use it to get a temp reading on my wood fired outdoor oven. it works well and is easy to read even in low light - the color display is the tops! While I do get out of limit readings sometime on the bricks on the top of the oven that because they're up around 1200 degrees. I take a few readings on the sides back and top and that give a pretty good picture of what the actual oven temperature is.I would buy this again and do recommend.

The use, so far, has been somewhat limited but the results have been everything that I expected. Like others that reviewed this product, I found that there is a problem with the battery door. It simply will not close properly with the battery installed no matter the orientation of the battery. Another issue that I have is with an email that I just received. "Thanks for your purchasing Dog Fence System in our store." Since I don't own a pet of any kind and saw no correlation between the name and this product, I was a bit concerned. I used the order number to chase it to this device. Inclusion of the name would have been helpful. Accuracy seems to be quite good at close range or at a distance of several feet. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a reasonably price, accurate laser thermometer. You can live with the battery door but the company should really address that issue.

With so many infared thermometers on the market and especially available through Amazon I took a chance in buying this one because I really liked the color LCD screen features, settings and that its temperature range is so broad as I use it for Automotive Mechanics. Great for checking hot spots and verifying overheating problems, also using at exhaust port for misfires to determine which cylinder is cooler than the others. Checking temps at Cat and is absolutely indispensable for wheel brake and bearing problems to see which wheels are running hotter and building up more heat from friction. The footprint of this unit is actually smaller than a lot of the other more expensive ones out there for when you need to get into tight areas. I highly recommend this Tool Product

I bought this as a gift for my step dad. He has a small A/C business. He uses these to measure the temperature of the electrical equipment and also the temp. of the air coming out of vents. The reason he asked for this model is it does some extra readings or more sensitive data that he needs. He was very happy with this item and he said he uses it often. I have even used it a few times around the house and it is pretty accurate and easy to use.

Nice looking colored display, at first the laser wouldn't activate, gave a reading but obviously was useless without the laser. After fiddling with the buttons it came on. Don't know how accurate it is, gave it away as a gift to my nephew before I could test it against other units I have. Feels extremely light and cheap, don't like the odds of it surviving any falls.

Just replacing the old one. Love the product. We use it for our state high school Pro Start competition.

I bought this product primarily to check forehead temperature in these days of pandemic. But it reads mid-60s to low 70s body temperature. I immediately requested to return it because it was grossly inaccurate. They refused, falsely claiming that their listing clearly states it is not for measuring body temperature. Not true. The listing only states it accurately measures temperatures from -58℉ - 1022℉. I responded courteously, saying that, in any event, I obviously selected this product by mistake, again requesting to return it. They now state that there is nowhere to return it in the U.S.; their only facility is a warehouse in China. They suggested I could sell it second-hand, and they offered $2 refund on this $43 purchase. A totally frustrating experience.
