Ever since moving into a smaller place and not being able to bring our larger safe with us, I have been needing to find something that could house our important documents (licenses, certificates, etc.) and I had put if off for a while. I didn't really need a safe or even a lockbox really. I was browsing Amazon and just happened to come across this pouch and thought it was a great concept! It was inexpensive, had decent reviews, but I was concerned about the quality and size of (it did say 11x15, but I still doubted it by the picture). I took the chance anyway of course. When I received it, I was extremely pleased!It is very spacious and I could fit my thick stack of documents and there is still space for more. The Velcro flap is very serious too! You have to put a little bit of muscle to open it, so that is good. The material of the pouch is very sturdy, but I was not about to test it by lighting it on fire. :) I have every confidence that it will do what they say it will do.

This envelope seems very nice. It seems like its made from the same material as firefighter suits, so that makes sense that it wound be fireproof and water resistant.The pouch closes with a large velcro strip, and is bigger than I realized. I was planning to store it in my filing cabinet, but even laying on the bottom of the drawer, I don't think its going to fit. The good news is, it will easily hold many sheets of paper, passports, and even small or relatively flat keepsakes. I don't think it would survive being submerged in water, but would totally survive being sprayed down with water (like from a fire hose).The only way to know if this really works is not a fun way, and I'm glad to say my home hasn't burned down. The manufacturer says items inside could still spontaneously combust if they get too hot, so they recommend using it in conjunction with a fire safe. Unfortunately, I can't afford a fire safe right now, but I think my important documents will at least be safer in this pouch rather than in nothing, and it is a really affordable precaution.

This is great for important documents like car and house notes or deeds, wills and other important documents.The material seems very reliable but I can't really say because I'm not purposely setting it on fire to test it and my house hasn't burned down.The construction seems decent and can hold about a 1/4 stack of paper comfortably and much more if you want, however you will create a gap in the protective sleeve and risk the possibility of allowing fire to reach the contents.The only part I dont like about the construction is the velcrow.... I would think that it would melt and possibly open and release its contents...maybe melting on the contents, ruining it or melting the pouch shut, making it hard to access the contents? I'm sure keeping this in a safe will help the overall integrity of it. The velcrow is very stong and seals nicelyIt never hurts to take an extra step to protect your emergency assets.I definitely reccoment this product

Got this fireproof safe bag during an Amazon lighting deal event. The size of this bag is very generous to stuff in quite some documents (8 1/2 x 11, not legal size). Boy, the velcro is super strong, it takes quite some effort to struggle through the velcro to open it. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, this is actually good. On the outside, there is no any loose fibers. Also, there is no any sharp edge that could cut your skin.I can't say or to prove its fireproof claim. But, I think the fiberglass package do sustain some level of fire or heat. With 2 fireproof bags at $7.9 (Amazon lighting deal), I really don't have any complaint about this product.

I just upgraded in size. A few years ago, I bought a couple of these, large enough for papers folded in half and several business envelopes as well. I filled one with every document needed for a visit to my Secretary of State to get a new enhanced drivers license and tabs for cars. It worked well, but I decided to get a larger one that holds 2 file folders easily, filled with a lot of documents. There is room to growhold much more. Hope I never have to test the fire safety, but generally speaking, well worth the purchase. The material is thick and the Velcro fastener, large enough to ensure it is secure. Very pleased with this item.

I just finished putting all the important docs in this fire resistant doc bag. It holds quite a bite of docs with no problem w/ room to hold more. The Velcro strips are very strong. I like the outside material used not being any issue. You don't have to worry about needing to put gloves on to protect from small fine fiberglass getting on your hands. As far as testing to see if it is fire resistant, I hope I don't have to find out, but if it does, I know the docs will be secured since I have it in a fire/water resistant safe.

I ordered this pouch in the 15" x 11" size, and instead I was mailed one that is 9.25" x 12.2" (as clearly stated right on the package). It might come in handy for smaller items, but: 1) did I pay more than I should have for it thinking it was the larger size? 2) it would require buying a large envelope in which to return it, thereby making it more trouble and expense than it's worth. I don't know what my recourse is at this point....PS-those dimensions are the outer dimensions so by the time you deduct for the stitched seams, it's barely big enough for a few sheets of paper.

Bought this to keep in our filing cabinet to add a little extra protection to a few documents. It’s not huge and can’t hold very much, but just a few essentials that we want to add a layer of protection. There are a few bad reviews for this product that could have been avoided if people would read the description of the product. This is *not* a firePROOF document holder. It is RESISTANT. So, yes, if you put it on a grill it will burn. But if it is used in your safe, it adds a layer of protection that it didn’t have. This is a cheap product. You can’t expect it to be fireproof for this price. That being said, if you purchase it and understand the difference between fireproof and fire resistant, you won’t be disappointed.

I returned item as did not fit my security box..Seller extremely helpful in giving me a refund..item looked great, however was too big for what I had thought would fit..Frances
