The skillet was advertised as 6 1/2 inch but was only 6 inches in diameter. That doesn't seem like a big difference but is was enough for me to return it. It was just big enough to fry one egg!

Great for cooking one egg not heavy easy clean

Gonna make Dutch babies for Christmas breakfast so I got this pan. Tried it out and it works fairly well. It heats quickly and retains the heat like all cast iron griddles and pans should. It’s a good size for my needs, not too big or small. The handle is not covered so you definitely want to be careful. It says it comes preseasoned but mine was not. I had to clean then heat and oil to make it useable. I tried it by cooking some eggs and you could tell that it needed to be used a bit more to accumulate the oils before eggs were going to come out right. But the heat retention was pretty good. Not bad for an under $20 pan.

This is a nice example of a traditional cast iron pan. It requires thoughtful use and care, but if you do so then you will be rewarded with exceptional cooking performance. As with any cast iron pan, don't leave this sitting in water or run it through the dishwasher. There are numerous online tutorials about the benefits of classic cooking with cast iron and instructions on how to season and care for your pan.With time and effort, you will be rewarded.

Not the smoothest surface outside or in. It feels like it could have been finished better. Compared to four other cast iron pans I have (of other sizes) this is definitely the most rough. Because of that it is difficult to clean. Most cast iron pans also come seasoned. This is, but not well. I plan to burn it off clean, and re-season. Still, its a decent pan. I prefer the Lodge brand as they come ready to go and are easier to clean.

This is a quality skillet, and the fact that it comes pre-seasoned is a plus as well. The heat distribution within it is what I'd expect from a cast iron skillet. Because it is a cast iron, and preseason at that, I do wish that the company would have made efforts to include cleaning directions within it. Of course, anyone can google this, but it would have been a nicety to have included. Overall, I'm satisfied with it :)

This is a really neat skillet! Exactly what I was looking for in a cast iron skillet. I've been frying up some great meals and as a newbie to the cast iron game, the directions were fun and informative too! Care instructions are clear and the pan itself is very easy to take care of. Not too heavy and the perfect size for every average meal.

I recently bought my daughter a larger cast iron pan so I wanted her to have this one too for smaller cooking chores. She said that it was ready to use after simply giving it a quick rinse out of the package. It cleaned off the eggs easily and she really likes it.
