I used this book to review 5S principles with my staff over a years time in weekly meting we had., Book is a good refresher for 5S principles and was received well by my staff. Package itself is not worth price. I could have purchased cheaper on Amazon. There is no package just the book. Buy it somewhere else.

The book (and series) jump started my career as a supervisor. I make all my subordinate leaders read and implement these teachings. This book teaches people how to simplify, streamline, and standardize work. It creates EFFICIENCY in the work place!!!

Used this book for two 5S implementations in two different industries (processing and software lab). Both were big challenges. 5S for Operators helped paint the big picture to get things going. Highly recommend in your reference and learning materials when diving into operational improvement.

This is the first one star review I have ever given on Amazon and the first book I have ever thrown in the trash. It is texts like these that turn people off from adopting the principles of 5S and lean manufacturing. While the concepts of 5S are very simple, I felt like I was being talked down to in this book, and personally would feel insulted if I was given this as an employee.The best way to learn 5S, or teach your operators, is by seeing it in practice and hearing from those on the shop floor who reap the benefits. This book does the exact opposite by reading like some awful wordy generalized employee handbook, written by a systems engineer who is trying to communicate to a technician.

If you do want to know how to do 5S, this is the best book I know.

Good Book

Clear, concise, practical, not too much waffle... the practical and thinking person's guide.

This is a short step by step guide for implementing 5 S's. Not detailed reasonings or case studies.1 Star because of the poor book quality. The publisher is charging Rs 1500 for a 100-page book but still the quality of the pages right from the cover is very poor. The print on the backside of the paper is visible very clearly.Publishers really need to improve the quality of their books.
