worked with my 11 year old on this. Very easily picked up on how to play and get the correct tones.

I suppose I will be able to learn, I'm 71 years young.

I don't know that much about bugling, but my grandson was excited about using it in boy scouts.

A good little book to get you started playing the bugle.

I have never played a blown instrument before, so got this before taking the plunge and buying a John Packer bugle.The book claims to be a 5-minute bugle course 'guaranteed' - (the sort of wild claim made by products bewteen the wars when this was first published) but you need to develop your lips to get the sound, so if you are a new player it will take a few weeks at ten to twenty minutes per day. I have now had the bugle for a month and can manage the first four notes, with only that fifth top note to find... The book contains a selection of military and scout calls, and does the job. The back part of the book is taken up by amusing 'heritage' adverts from the original print.
