It really does work wonderfully, but after less than a year, it has red and black stains on the top where the words are. The part that goes inside the sink is completely black. I tried soaking in peroxide, and I tried soaking in bleach, but neither had any effect. I've decided to replace it with the stainless steel version.

I had high hopes for this SinkShroom as my TubShroom worked very well. For some reason, even after cleaning continuously, the SinkShroom kept water from going down the drain. I was tired of cleaning it out every day, even though there was no hair in it. The soap would get stuck in the little holes, and I had to take a toothpick to clean them out almost daily. I threw it away as it was a pain. My TubShroom is still going strong. I would not purchase this again.

I was shopping for a replacement for my bathroom sink drain stop when got broken. I came across the Sink Shroom during that search and decided to give it a try. At the time I bought it I was more concerned with finding something to temporarily block things from falling down the drain if accidentally dropped, but It turned out to be a handy replacement for two reasons.Not only does it fit easily to keep unwanted things out if the drain but it keeps the hair out of my drain too. My daughter and I both have long curly hair that always ends up in the drain no matter how much we try to avoid it. I used to have to use a long tool to dig those clumped up nasty strands out of the drain every week. The Sink Shroom catches those rouge hairs before they end up down deep in the drain. The middle of the Sink Shroom is a tube of sorts with holes in it that allow water to run into the tube and down the drain as the hair gets caught by the “shelf” at the bottom and wraps around the center. The top “shelf” blocks other things from going down the drain.Each week now all I do is take it out of the drain and use a Clorox wipe to pull the hair off and wipe off the Sink Shroom. 1 Star deducted because1) over time black slime builds up. I’ve soaking overnight in bleach but it won’t come off. I ended up buy new after 1 year because I can’t stand the yuck after so long.2) the drain empties slower then it could. This happens mainly because the bottom shelf if larger for my drain than needed. It does fit because there are strategic cuts in the silicone that allows the round shelf to bend upward on top of itself just enough to get a tight seal that fits well in my smaller drain. the bending also makes the holes in the shelf smaller due to over lap which really can slow down allowing less water to flow through. This is especially true as hair gets captured and starts to build up on the shelf. It would be nice if they could figure out a way to fix this issue as it would help eliminate a lot of the black slime that builds up too. I’d still recommend this product though. I’ll buy a new one every year if I need to.

No more clogged sinks or bathtub!!!

It does what it's supposed to, yes, but it can't be secured in the drain hole, so it comes out way too easily. For example, I knock it out just by wiping around the drain with a paper towel.

The metal rod that raised and lowered the bathroom sink stopper broke. We never used it but needed something to prevent things from falling in the open drain. We tried a metal strainer but didn’t like that so we ordered this. Works perfectly, great fit and easy to install/remove for cleaning.

Bought it for my trailer. Fits perfectly and does what it supposed to do!

Does not fit in any of our plugs!!! Sits so high keeps getting knocked or moved out of the way. Not great purchase and I don't use it anymore.

This didn't fit in the plug hole

Works well even though my basin isn't deep enough to hold it as per instructions. I just let it sit there while the basin drains collecting debris.
