A lovely teardrop mookaite (mooka jasper) gemstone cabochon and a striped oval Botswana agate are bezel set in this hand fabricated sterling silver necklace. Textured design elements add visual interest. Australian Mooka Jasper is named for the Mooka river, near where it's found. Its dark and broody red hue is sophisticated and sometimes tinged with pink or yellow. It's paired with a subtly colored, but distinctively patterned Botswana agate from Africa. Its elegant tendrils of sterling, with the two stones stacked vertically, almost evoke a goddess figure. Pendant hangs from an adjustable rolo chain (a two inch extender on the back of the chain allows it to lengthen from 18 to 20 inches. Pendant measures just under 2.5 inches long and just under 1.25 inches wide. Hallmarked with my maker's mark and stamped .925.
