Scanned from orgiinal copies of arrangements
This CD is scanned from the original copies of the arrangements and has the in 3 file formats(JPG, MS Word, and JPG). These arrangements were printed from the 1920s to the 1950, and the scanned quality is excellent. Since the originals are so old, you can see the yellowing of the paper in some of the sheets as well as some annotations, which are usually helpfulAnother thing I should mention is these arrangements are HARD. No "easy accordion" pieces here. We are talking Palmer-Hughes book 7+ hard. The stuff an accordionist might play professionally. The stuff your music teacher might give as a reward to their top student. BTW, the "Tea for Two" arrangement is harder than the one my teacher gave me, which was quite hard itself. Expect things like grace note triplets, 32nd notes, 3 fingered glissando's, etc, and that is just Tea for Two.Another thing I noticed is that the fingerings an annotations were very detailed, much more so than most hard pieces, which makes them easier to practice.

Charles Magnante Accordion Sheet Music CD - Vol 1 - 12 Arrangements
This is a copy of previous review, because I can't think of anything new to add!!!During my 14 years of serious lessons with an extremely good instructor I played a lot of arrangements by Galla-Rini, Pietro Diero, Pietro Frosini and Charles Magnante. Magnate was my favorite (although not by much). His arrangements are frequently difficult, but with practice, a serious player can have some great show pieces to perform..As i said in my review of Galla-Rini, I will probably never get to the level I had achieved 35 yr ago, but with the aid of a composer program and a couple of conversion programs I may get these into a midi format so that i can at least listen to them again. And I am glad to have gotten much of the music that I had lost in Viet NamMagnante may be my favorite because I had the opportunity to meet him years ago and hear his fabulous interpretations of various songs. Also, I was set up to have finish lessons with him (at $100.00/ hr in the 60's), but decided against a music career and didn't follow thru. My mistake!!!Highly recommend his music!!

A wonderful collection
The sheet music is easy to read, prints nicely and provides a source to reprint - should one damage the printout in use.
