I like Aquila strings, but my girlfriend doesn't
Realistically, there is no best ukulele string for everyone. I love these strings on my laminate mid-range ukulele. The girlfriend thinks they are too harsh for her solid-acacia ukulele and she replaced her strings with flouro-carbons. If you read the ukulele nerd forums, you will see long discussions about ukulele strings and different people disagreeing about which strings are best even for the same brand and model of instrument. Bottom line is the best strings for you are a personal decision, based largely on what sound you like and what kind of music you play and what is your skill level. Strings are cheap enough and easy enough to install that, as soon as you develop a good enough ear to tell the difference, you may as well try a few on your ukulele and figure it out for yourself. As with all ukulele strings, they do take a while to settle in. I had to tune them after every 15 minutes of playing for the first couple of days. Every 30 minutes for the next few days. Once an hour for the next week. After a month, I only have to tune them a couple of times a week (or when the room is much cooler or warmer).

Great string, get them!
Okay, so I bought these strings in hopes of trying to get the most out of my ukulele. I bought my uke in Hawaii and brought it back with me to my home on the mainland. The uke I picked sounded great already. However, I was just looking to try to get the MOST out of it that I could, if it was ever possible. I saw reviews for these and just impulsively bought them. When I got them, I realized they looked a lot like strings the uke came with. So, I looked up my uke and it turns out that my uke came with the Aquila strings. Well! I have to say, it's great having backup strings, at least. I haven't used the new strings yet, but I can say for sure that these are great sounding strings, they were the reason I chose the uke that I did while in HI. So, get them!

Worked like CHARM
Strings are thinner than what came with my Ukulele (my first string change). Doesn't require as much pressure from left hand fingering to play chords.

strings of sound
These strings are darn good... once they start being good. One thing i really like is that they are all nylgut, including the C string. With other sets of strings this is usually bound so it stands out, but these are all white and beautiful.after the first few days you won't need to tune much at all. but for those first couple of day (the first most especially) your uke will be nearly unplayable. i suggest tuning about 5 notes high on each string then waiting a few hours then tune it again and again and again... until it holds...The sound is clear rich and consistent. These strings will upgrade a mediocre uke to a down right good one.

Good stings will hold tune for at least ten songs.
At first I was tightening them to tune, after a couple days it wasn’t working so I tightened each string to the next higher note. I then left my ukulele like that for two days, retuned to proper note, sound is so rich, their great strings, I’m thinking of buying that woven G note and try that.

My Opinion is These Strings are the Best
I have Aquila strings on a Tenor ukulele now. I have regular nylon strings on a Soprano ukulele. The difference is night and day. I don't need to wait for this product to arrive before writing a review, I know from experience that Aquila strings are the best. I have a new Tenor ukulele in shipment now, and I ordered these strings for it in advance. If you want the best strings on your ukulele, I recommend these.

Love Aquilas but depends on the uke.
Have been a long term user of Aquilas and remain a fan. They hold their tune well and improve the sound on most ukes as they provide plenty of punch. That said, I was recently sent a free set of Worth Clears and tried them on a Pono uke and they sounded much better than the Aquilas as the sound was more rounded and not as harsh. My view now is that the best strings are individual to the uke in question. On my mahogany ukes I will continue to use Aquilas as the sound tends to be a little darker and the Aquilas give it some needed punch and brightness. However, on Acacia and Mango ukes I will go with Worths as the brightness comes from the wood and the Aquilas now sound a little brittle and harsh to me.

“A” string broke after just 2 weeks. Underwhelming sound
Absolute crap. The sound wasn’t noticeably superior to the off-the-shelf jobs that came with my new uke & the “A” string broke within 2 weeks of fairly light playing. Before anybody asks, I’ve been playing the ukulele for a couple of years & guitar for about 30, so i know what I’m doing & didn’t do anything daft like overtune it.Also noticed the undersides of the string were badly fret worn which is astonishing after such a short time. Now wondering how I can return the set as the packaging was thrown; trying to find a matching single A string on here is no easy task!

Powerful Strings
Maybe not the best in terms of tone for a professional level instrument but you can't beat these for bringing a bit of zing and pop to a laminate uke.

Don't buy if in a hurry
Strings are fine... delivery service was rubbish.Arrived 6 days late. Next time I won't be so lazy, I'll go into town to the local store and get them. Should have done that anyway; support my local shops.Next time, for sure

After about six months the A string snapped yesterday
The strings fixed some intonation issues (in comparison to the original unbranded fitted fluorocarbons). These are very percussive and great if you're learning to chuck. The Aquila New Nylgut strings are quite thick and easier to keep my callouses with.Truth be told I currently have Worth Browns on a different tenor and I prefer how those feel and play, especially for fingerstyle. But Aquila is perfect for chucking and fast strumming.
