This lamp is beautiful! The photos do not do justice to the actual lamp. It is so original and unique. I get a compliment on it from everyone who comes into my home. The lamp is well made and sturdy. The cord is thick and will last long after I'm gone I'm sure. The dimmer controls the light smoothly with no sudden brights or dims. One note though is the light bulb that came with it blew immediately when I put it in. The second bulb (one of mine) worked perfectly. It is an oblong Edison bulb with the amber tint. Looks amazing in this fixture. Amazon did give me a credit to cover the cost of the bulb I put in. All and all, this is a solid item and well worth every cent, and more. It fits perfectly in my "industrial farmhouse" decor.

Update:Y-Nut responded to my review. They sent me a brighter bulb, free of charge. They also explained the cost breakdown.While I appreciate that they care about their products and reputation, I cannot in good conscience, modify my original rating.It is nothing personal, people who buy this lamp are buying for the design and look, and I have already received many compliments on the light. Awesome...Awesome...Awesome customer service. Absolutely unbeatable. Mike in particular. I had ordered a lamp as a gift to be given over a holiday weekend. The item arrived on a Friday a bit damaged (scratches, paint chipped, etc.) and disassembled. I normally would have returned it for a replacement, but there wasn’t enough time. I matched the paint as best I could and reassembled the lamp. It tested fine, so I gave it as a gift. I wrote the seller about my problems and IMMEDIATELY was offered a new lamp or a refund. Since I had already give it as a gift, I accepted the refund. Mind you ... all done and resolved to my COMPLETE satisfaction over a holiday weekend. Simply amazing. Awesome job by Mike and the vendor keeping a customer happy and thereby guaranteeing a future purchase. By the way, the lamp was very nice, heavier than expected, and industrial strength! My friend absolutely loved it and will be looking at purchasing other Y-Nut products, as will I.

Lamp arrived nicely packaged. Uniquely attractive. The included light bulb arrived inside the bird cage style shade. It took me a few minutes of closely looking to figure out how to remove the bulb that was in a box inside shade. I found that it takes two hands to gently, but firmly, spread the lower part of the wired cage to open it to remove the bulb. This will be the same process to install and change the bulb.Besides that, it's an outstanding, attractive desk/end table lamp that compliments my Steampunk decor.

Love this item! Bought 2 for both sides of king size bed. Recently moved, and previous home had reading lites on wall. Loved those lites and needed something with as much character, or more! This item fits the bill! They came with bulbs, another plus. The cord is also retro reminding me of things my parents had and the dimming function is a great feature. The craftsmanship is superb, and I highly reccomend!

Couldn't give 5 because one of the two lamps we bought is already not working after only 3 months! these are expensive lamps for that to happen and so dissapointing since now we have a set with only one working! They look awesome and we get compliments by everyone who sees them but would not recommend for daily use since ours sparked at the switch and started buzzing and got very hot so cannot use at all anymore except for decoration. :( return/exchange period ended 30 days ago too! If the Seller reads this, maybe we can exchange? It would be greatly appreciated and I would post a follow up review. :)

One of my favourite pieces by far. Has a farm have a parents with a classy and chic finish. Can either be used and a rustic or classic setting. Very easy to assemble. It will be the focal piece as well as a conversational piece for all visitors to your house . Kept secret, excellent light for the price. You will not be disappointed with this purchase .

Love the light - but the wood disk on the bottom doesn't fit well with the product and needs to be replaced with something more steampunk.

Purchased this for a friend as he’s into the old steam Fixtures. The only downfall is, I wish that the off/on switch was the valve handle as opposed to being A toggle switch on the cord. It Would’ve been more authentic in my opinion
