I live in Texas and we can have some pretty strong winds. I moved here from NY a few years ago. I had hung up my wind chimes I had from NY and within days the Texas winds blew them to pieces. So I looked for a wind chime more durable.This one was advertised as durable and it was pretty and a good price so I got it. It held up very well and makes a beautiful sound. I did take it down if a storm was coming and winds were predicted to be very bad. Until a few nights ago, when storm winds didn't start blowing till 1 am and I wasn't going to get up to get it at that time. It was still there next morning but all twisted but still in one piece!Unfortunately it was hopelessly tangled. Maybe if I had a lot of patience I could have untangled it. But I don't. Still as I said it did not fall apart and I was very impressed! So I just got another one.I highly recommend this chime as it is pretty, durable and makes a very pleasant sound!

Total length is about 24 to 30 inches while hanging. We've had this outside for 2 summers without any issue so I'd say it's made out of quality materials. The sound is not harsh or overly loud. It has a soothing, calming tone that is pleasant to listen to. So far this has held up to every weather condition, including high winds, but has never tangled or broken.

I guess that I don't measure the same way that the manufacturer does because I expected this to be larger. That said, I find the sound charming and the simplicity of design was exactly what I was wanting. Unlike many of the reviews that I read, mine was not tangled when it arrived. It was perfect and went straight up on my patio. We were experiencing a breezier than normal day and it sang to me till the breeze died down. It seems fairly sturdy... It doesn't take much of a breeze because on less breezy days, I still get to enjoy the soft chiming that none of my other wind chimes will make in the same breeze. If a big wind might tear it up, I won't find out till next winter when the wind kicks up again. I would recommend for yourself or for a gift.

Very inexpensive and pretty sound.

I love the sound of the chimes, especially during gentle breezes. It's not too small or big but just right! I'll purchase more, made of other elements.

Pretty to look at, nicely finished. It is very lightweight, however, and so the chimes seldom move...very little (occasional) melody.

Nice tinkling sound when it gets windy. Not too loud. Never had one before and I like it.

Calming, good size and the colors are beautiful on a sunny day. Lite and the quality is ok
