I have been taking care of a stray cat for a little over a year. Last November ( 2010 ) the cat was attacked by either a hawk or raccoon and its face was seriously wounded and it looked like it would lose its eye. After reading a book on herbal care I learned that Echinacea/Goldenseal work together as an antiviral/ antibacterial agent so I went on the hunt. I found this product on Amazon and ordered it right away. I added 10 drops to wet food twice a day along with 1000 mg l-lysine as per a vet's recommendation. It was a long cold winter but the cat returned twice a day for its medication. Eventually after 5 months of regular treatment the wound healed and the cat's eye cleared up. I do not know if the cat would have survived without this treatment. I recommend its use to anyone who is working with stray and feral cats that have been wounded or are ill and who do not have immediate access to veterinary care.

This product was highly recommended to me by someone who was trying to help me save my dog. I do believe she is a nutritionist for dogs. She helped me to get my puppy to start eating again even tho she didn't want to. I believe this definitely helped us through a difficult time. As far as the garlic it can be harmful if they consume to much but in small amounts it is safe for dogs.

What is the correct dosage? How do you measure that?----------Dosage depends on the animals weight. DOGS ------- <20# 0.50 ml >20# +0.50 ml additional for each addi 20# CATS ------ 0.25-0.50 ml (small cat - big cat? this is too vague)------------ You can find calculations on the Internet about drops per milliliter, but they vary quite a bit.So I called the manufacturer and found out that the droppers have a measure on the side that shows you 1 ml, a full dropper. Because the product is dark I missed that completely.---------- I wrote this because people here have been overdosing and underdosing animals. This might help with that.This five-star review is not a reflection of the product yet, just cutting the product slack until I know better. I'll come back and change it if it's not in fact a five-star product.

Extremely disappointed to learn that it contains garlic. As a new pet owner, I quickly learned how harmful garlic can be for our dog! Please consult your vet prior to purchasing this product as it may possibly be counterproductive causing more harm to your beloved pet than good! Lesson learned.

This product has helped my very itchy golden doodle!! I prefer natural products over medications the vet gives. There are no side effects! Total peace of mind when giving to my pet!
