Sad to see the bad reviews of this. My plants arrived in great condition and so much faster than I expected. I have a freshwater well established aquarium, very small though and wanted to use these as decoration. I have volcanic soil as substrate. When I first planted them they went trough a couple of weeks where they turned yellow and I thought they would die. I changed the light patterns thinking they weren't receiving enough light, and they are now perfectly healthy and growing, with a very vivid green color. I have had a few algae problems since getting these but I'm guessing it's because of the extra hours of light. Nothing too problematic though.Note: These plants don't stay low on the substrate level, they are a little bit taller than what's shown on the picture.

These are very healthy plants on arrival. On the other hand, I have an established freshwater live plant tank. It has been established for almost 8 years. These plants did not do well at all and died within a couple weeks time. I stay religious on water changes and weekly testing. Not impress with this product.

avoid! Came with no roots. Died within days

The plants were exactly what I expected and so far I have not noticed any new snails occupying my tank. Unfortunately, my light does not seem to be strong enough to reach the plants on the bottom, so I simply moved the plants to a higher location in the tank and they are doing great now!

Half of the roots were rotten so it will take some time to the plant to recover so making %50 of the purchase useful.
