Looks sharp, is sharp!
The media could not be loaded. Along with the 8” chef’s knife from Hanzo, I have been using this 7” Santoku knife as much as possible since receiving it from Amazon. This knife is great for chopping and dicing veggies and more. The VG10 blade makes chopping really easy. I’ve found that most of my prep has been made quicker because of this. The blade works effortlessly and the patterning seems to help keep food from sticking whilst chopping.Balance is great and the knife looks fantastic. I highly recommend it to all home chefs and have even recommended it to friends who are professional chefs.Highlights:- Super sharp out of the box- VG10 steel!- Looks great- Food doesn’t stick when chopping

Sorry.. but these scream "knock off to me" ...
Sorry.. but these scream "knock off to me". the grind on the Santoku tip was uneven and the sides of the knife were rough to the touch (friction). G10 was rough cut not polished and overall weight felt way too back heavy.

Excellent all-purpose kitchen knife
Excellent all-purpose kitchen knife. Volunteering in a kitchen for the poor, this knife holds its edge well after hours of rough prep of multiple food products using hard plastic boards. Balance and heft make for efficient, clever-style chopping of cooked meats. Biggest issue is keeping my fellow volunteers from using my Hanzo. Always best to maintain with a quality sharpening stone and honing with a diamond steel. Colin Forkner

Professional level knives
I received this knife and also the 8 inch knife this week. They are incredibly high quality. I have expensive German knives as well as Cutco and the Top Chef brand that TV Chefs use. They seem flimsy held next to the Hanzo knives, which are sharp and sturdy. The handle and weight are really comfortable. I would use the 7" for chopping and the 8" for slicing. They look incredibly professional as well.

Perfect knife for chopping and cutting
I bought this knife because some of my go-to knives were getting old, and so far I'm extremely happy with the purchase. The quality and craftsmanship of the Hanoi are both top-notch. A lot of thought obviously went into its design. It's comfortable to use, easy to clean and maintain, and works like a charm. For the price, this knife is a fantastic deal.

Best Santoku I've owned
I got this Santoku knife along with a chef knife from Hanzo. I am totally loving these knives. I have another santoku knife that will be getting donated as this Hanzo Santoku Knife is far superior. The Japanese steel and comfortable handle make this an ideal Santoku. Great knife and really good customer service follow up and that price is great too.

The knife is awesome to use
The knife is awesome to use. It is so harp. It make prepping Corn on the cub a breeze now. I do not have to worry losing a finger in the process. Just worry how to keep it sharp like new when time comes to sharpening it. Will buy them as gifts for my relatives.

After one week, not too shabby.
It's a pretty good knife. It's already needing some sharpening and that's only after a week! It does have good balance and feel though. Overall I'm happy with it. I just thought it would stay sharp longer. And yes, I only use it on a cutting board.
