✨ Unleash the Elements of Style!
The Element 1" Cube Set features five distinct metal cubes—tungsten, aluminum, titanium, copper, and iron—each measuring 1"x1"x1". These stylish, non-toxic cubes are designed with rounded edges for safe handling, making them perfect for educational settings, modern offices, and as a unique gift for any occasion.

Not really Tungsten, not really Iron.
Not really Tungsten, not really Iron.My own fault. I should have read the reviews first. The Tungsten cube is quite heavy, as expected. It's also very strongly attracted to a magnet. (Not expected). The cube of iron is appropriately heavy, but not attracted to a magnet at all. So, it's stainless steel, with roughly the same density of iron. So, I have to ask if the titanium is really titanium, and the aluminium is really aluminium? I figure the copper and aluminium are safe, because they are cheap. That said, it is a nice set, I like the electron shell numbers noted on each cube, and the machining of the samples is good. The display tray is nice too. It is very well packaged for shipment. I will keep it, but I don't think I will buy one for a gift, as I had planned, because I don't like to give false things.

Almost perfect
Overall quite pleased with these cubes, just a couple small issues:The laser engraving on one of the Tungsten cubes is messed up, with the raster fill and vector outline being out of alignment. The Iron cubes are stainless steel - Note: I understand *why* since it would not be great for a desk ornament to rust, but personally, I would have preferred as close to pure elements as possible for each sample, even if it meant that the iron cube tarnished over time. The tungsten cube is tungsten carbide (I knew this from reviews before buying) - and so is about 2/3 the expected weight (weight of pure tungsten). still quite heavy, but not quite as much contrast to the rest of the cubes. The machining quality (other than the one glitched laser etch) is superb, and the stand is just right for my desk! I also ordered one of the 95% pure tungsten cubes from MWT and it makes a good complement to the set (and weighs a full 100g more than the tungsten carbide in this set). Most definitely would buy again!

Nice set - would be better with info about the materials
I bought this as a gift for my husband. We are materials scientists and I thought it would be a good addition to his desk. They cubes and stand look really nice and the quality seems great. My husband's one complaint is that there is no information about the materials to tell which ones are alloys and the composition of those alloys.

Nice set of alloyed elements
This is a nice kit overall. The quality is good with nice looking cubes and a nice display base. The iron is really stainless steel and is therefore not very magnetic at all. This keeps the cube looking great (not corroding) but will confound efforts to explain which elements are magnetic. The density is very close to pure iron despite significant portions being alloyed nickel and chromium. The biggest surprise is the tungsten being actually very magnetic, due to the binding material in the sintering process. This also brings the tungsten density way down (more than 30% less than theoretical). Despite this, the tungsten is still very impressive and way heavier than the other cubes.

I love the product presentation
I love the product presentation, size, and element variety. But lets start at the beginning. Everything was well packaged. The product box was great much more that I expected. The product itself is well made. They have a great selection Al, Ti, Fe, Cu, W. I would also be interested in other metals too like Co, Cr, Ni, Pb, Sn. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it for anyone interested in chemistry or engineering.

It is beautiful as it gets
It is beautiful as it gets. Having all the cubes and feeling their different weight is like sensing the neutrons themselves.I love it. That said, the copper one turns black. It is the second cube set I buy and it happened the same with both. As soon as I touched it, it reacts with my sweat or something and turns black. That's a shame. I have not tried cleaning it up with a polisher yet.

Beautifully looking but...
Iron is not iron. They try to match the density and surely they did so to avoid corrosion. But that makes the set useless for educational purposes. Beautiful as a gimmick to keep on the desk though.

Cubes were mis-labeled
This is a cute set of metal cubes, but when my daughter discovered that the cube labelled "W" for Tungsten was strongly attracted to a magnet, and the cube labelled "Fe" for Iron was not attracted to a magnet, I lost faith in the product!
