I'm honestly surprised by just how much I love this snake hook. I was a little bit worried about what sort of quality I would receive because it was so cheap, but this hook has exceeded my expectations in every way! it's lightweight, telescopes easily, and is capable of moving around my ball pythons and my hefty rainbow boa without bending or showing signs of strain. Overall I'm really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to any snake enthusiast.

Good hook but my 4 year old decided to play with it and the first time he slightly hit something it dented and won't function properly now. Partially my fault but a slight hit shouldn't damage it that bad

It is really nice to pick up and move nonvenomous snakes to another area. Just the right size also.

This is flimsy junk. I hoped the reviews were right, but wrong again.

I thought the telescoping feature would be nice, but it feels about as stable as old 'rabbit ears' telescopic TV antennas. You have to really tighten it down to have any kind of stability.. which is very important if you are dealing with a dangerous animal. I would say only use this if you can't afford anything else or have nothing else handy (or you are a professional and it works for you). I would say not great for beginners or the average person who has never dealt with snakes before and is looking to deal with them on a regular basis.

My two large python unfortunately developed some bad feeding responses. I have to hook them out of the cage otherwise if I put my hand straight into there they will think that’s food and grab on me. My previous smaller hook aren’t work for them anymore especially my Burmese is getting so big. This hook works so great and I can actually adjust it to the length that works best for me. The best thing is it cost almost the same as my previous small hook.

Have barely used this,, never used on a snake, just taken out in snake areas a few times, just in case. The locking mechanism on the section with the hook failed, so the stick is unable as it twists now at the hook regardless of the length used.
