Very easy to install and works just like new.

Since this is the switch I needed it of course fit like a glove. Can't say if it's going to hold up, but it did fix the switch trigger being broken issue. Ease of install would be down to the person turning a screw themselves. If your inclined enough to take something apart and put it back together and it works this won't be to bad. It's simple enough just pay attention to where the wiring runs as you don't wanna pinch em.

I ordered this part from Amazon. It was delivered promptly and included a wiring diagram. There were a couple of unexpected glitches in the installation that I share here for general awareness. (Keep in mind that my saw is ancient, a Skil 77 Type 14 manufactured in 1974 or 1975. Newer 77s may or may not be the same as mine.) First, the original switch had terminals on the top and bottom rather than on the back as does the replacement switch. This meant shortening some wires and installing new crimp-on ring connectors, no big deal. Second, the attachment flange (with the two screw holes) on the new switch was significantly thicker than the one on the original. I used a die grinder to gradually remove material from the appropriate boss inside the saw handle cover so it would clamp down on the attachment flange but not keep the handle cover from seating fully. The switch itself works beautifully (the baggie had a Bosch label) and I would happily give it 5 stars if there were some indication in the Amazon blurb that minor modifications might be required for this application.

I ordered this switch to function as a replacement that is not available at this time. Replacement worked perfectly.

The media could not be loaded.  I couldnt find an OEM switch for the 10" Chicago Electric 98199 compound miter saw with slide arm. I didn't want to have to do a lot of modifications to get it to work and fit. It is my older neighbor's saw and he was ready to throw it in, but I told him to let me see if I could fix it for him.I read many reviews before giving this one a try and it took about 5 minutes to replace. I had the the saw apart, just didn't have the original switch disconnected yet, so it will take more than 5 minutes from complete start to finish.All of the wires attached in the same spot as the original and the cover fit right on, no struggle.Sorry if the video isn't great, I hadn't planned on leaving a video review.Definitely worth buying to try, rather than scrap the saw.

Needed to cut a piece of plastic to get it to fit a milwaukee circular saw. Safety lever does not work with this switch.

in case anyone else was in the same situation ( i know many still have and love this saw) this will indeed work on the 7 1/4 black and decker aka craftsman industrial worm drive circular saws. if looking at the back of switch.. both motor wires go to right side..one top one bottom..both power cord wires go to left side..again top and bottom..so its different i didnt need to lengthen or shorten anything..i was up and running in less the 10mins

I had my doubts about using this switch,but it worked just fine to fix my nine inch milwaukee disc grinder sander.
