If you get lost in the woods and you have this whistle and you blow it it’s better than yelling out which nobody was here. If you come up to Yogi the bear and blow the whistle I don’t know what comes after that. But the most important thing you should give one of these whistles to your wife girlfriend or any of young girl. They should be on your keychain so if they have a problem with anyone and they blow this way so they won’t get help and her response immediately. Excellent product

Are used it recently in my travels.
Works great. Used it recently in one of my travels a person approach my husband with threats. I blew the whistle and yelled police. The person continue his way away from us.

Grandson was hurt when a large dead tree fell on him in the middle of the night raining camping and phone went dead. They finally found him, broken foot and teeth with a separated shoulder. This whistle with three in one is an absolutely a must for anyone who needs backup safety just hanging around your neck!

It will do what it needs to do.
Buying this for a week in kauai because some of these hikes are dangerous. This is lightweight and it doesn't have anything sharp added to it so I can travel with it. I tested the whistle and it's not as loud as I'd hoped but it will be okay.
