Very useful design.
Very useful design. We like having the flood light come out the side of the light with a separate switch. Both beams are very usable with simple on/off. Very useful to have both the spot and flood beam working together while walking on difficult terrain. The magnets are strong enough to hold the light on some metal surfaces, not strong enough on other surfaces. The clip is useful and usable. The battery carrier/switches/LED assembly is lightweight. Not sure about the durability long term. Works well with NiMH rechargeable batteries!

You need this light!
First thing I did was nearly blind myself with this light.Yes, I turned on the side light first and was staring straight at it.This side light has earned my love back after that because it illuminates what’s right in front of you so well. No more banging my leg on the side of my reading chair in the middle of the night as stumble to the bathroom.Outside, the forward beam is great and the perfect flashlight. You press the button it’s on. It does what a flashlight is supposed to do. No more fussing with features that prevent you from accomplishing the simple task of illuminating what’s right in front of you. This is all plastic but I’ve grown to love that. It isn’t the heaviest thickest plastic but this light is rugged enough. The only drawback is accidentally pressing the side light instead of the forward beam. The buttons are identical and I always use caution when turning the light on. I don’t want to blind myself.A solution would either be moving the button, or better yet, installing a nice sliding cover/window, that firmly locks, over the side light so you don’t blast yourself in the face. Therefore, you can easily tell you’ve hit the wrong button because the forward beam hasn’t turned on. It could be a fun DIY project too.

For the price, it's very good. But it isn't perfect. I would still buy again.
I'm a huge fan of Streamlight products. They're pretty much all I buy for lights, and I probably have way too many Streamlight products (if you ask my wife). This is clearly an entry level light for them. One of the buttons is really hard to press, the other isn't. The flood light has a yellow tint to it and the spot light has a white/blue tint to it. I'd have preferred if they were closer to the same shade. Also, the two lights do not intersect at all. It's close... but they do not intersect. Not a huge deal, but when using to walk the dogs on a nature path at night, there is a clear and definite gap between the two lights. So overall it is a nice light. For the $25 I paid, I'd buy it again. But I'd rather have the issues I mentioned addressed and have it be a little higher quality, and cost $40. I'd happily pay $40 for this if it was perfect than $25 for one that's pretty nice. If you're looking for a good quality light that's easy to use with decent battery life without spending $100, this is probably the one for you.

Good value for the price
I am pleased with the light for the price of $30-40 bucks. I bought this light to use in heavy equipment mechanic repair. Which is a pretty harsh environment. I didn’t want a super expensive light to drop and beat up.The pocket clip is convenient. The dual function that allows one led also projecting down towards your feet is nice. It feels nicely built to me especially for the price. I read some of the reviews stating it was not that very heavy duty but I feel like you have to spend at least $80-100 bucks or more to get that. I think it’s a good value for the cost. I have many other Streamlight products that have been good to own. And if you do have any issues it is well known that Streamlight will stand behind their products.

Good light, but lifetime warranty is a loose term
Really enjoy the Streamlight brand, but after owning about 10 different models I have found an issue. While they carry a “lifetime” warranty do not assume that warranty is at no cost to you. To use the warranty you must pay to ship the item back to Streamlight at which time they will decide if the light is indeed covered by warranty. If it is you are good to go. If not under warranty you have an option, pay to have it fixed or have it returned (I do not know if this is at your cost or the seller), or be out the cost of returning it and forfeit the product. That being said just be aware that I have had 2 lights recently that only made it about 2 years before needing repair. As a consumer just know you have options, buy something a little more expensive and potentially get better quality and service or buy something of lesser quality knowing this it is going to be disposable. Shop Smart!!

Pretty damn good flashlight
I work on elevators in the dark all day so it pays to have a good flashlight that you can put set down somewhere and not have it drop to its death. It excels in the ability to be clipped or hung or stick and stay where you put it and it has 2 lights at 90° to each other to allow you to light up more area or look ahead and see the objects at your feet as you walk. It's not the brightest but, it does the job! And to be honest you don't want a really bright flashlight to work by it actually makes it harder to see. You aren't shooting down aircraft with this flashlight but you can work by with it for hours at a time if you need to.

Handy dual light
Two lights in one. Focused spot on top and diffuse flood on side. Other contractors were impressed with this light compared to their small pocket shirt lights.

Excellent value and performance
I'm very pleased with this light. It's the same brand as the lights we already have on our trucks (that I always forget to grab) so I trust the intrinsic safety of it. I really appreciate how I can clip it to my bunker gear and I always have it on hand. It also helps to make me more visible to traffic on MVCs. I highly recommend it. Just be sure to read the manufacturers specification in regards to batteries to ensure that you maintain the intrinsic safety if using this in potentially hazardous environments.

One of my favorite lights
I'm generally not a fan of LED lights with a cool white tint, but I find this one really handy. Only one brightness level for each of the spot/flood lights, but the flood spreads the light across such a wide area that it's not too bright for indoors. The clip and magnets are really handy, and this seems like an ideal car light if you load it up with lithium AAs so you don't have to worry about alkaline leaks.I haven't done a full runtime test but it seems to work well with NiMH cells (3 AA Eneloops in my case). I wanted to confirm that because one user reported a problem with NiMH on the 2AA version, but from what I can see 3 cell lights pretty much always work as well on NiMH as they do on alkalines. When using it outdoors at night (hooking up tiedowns for a portable garage) I remember thinking that flood was a bit too flood-y and spot was a bit too spot-ty when using the magnets on a metal cross brace 5 feet off the ground and working at ground level, but standing the light on its head and using flood ended up working pretty well.Runtime is decently long - enough to make me worry that the alkalines will leak before they run down. Seems like a great emergency light because it is pretty close to being two independent flashlights sharing a battery pack - just don't leave it sitting for any length of time with alkalines. One of these loaded up with lithium AA's seems like an ideal emergency light, in addition to being a great day-to-day light with NiMH or alkaline cells.

Early delivery of order
My torch arrived earlier than the specified delivery timeframe. Good lightweight torch that with the addition of the downward beam illuminates a usefully large area in front of you. Very useful for night walks as illuminated area identifies any slip and trip hazards.

Waste of money
3 times the price and half the quality of other brands

Quality
Very good product. I use this flashlight every day at work. Batteries last a long time. I found the model with the magnets useful.
