Great tower light
I purchased both the Milwaukee Rocket tower light and this Makita to compare. I returned the Milwaukee.1. The Makita tower light is rated for more lumens.2. The battery compartment is mounted up at the light controls height, not at the bottom. It is more convenient and the compartment has a door that seals for weather protection.3. It has two switches, one for power and one that cycles through brightness. It turns on at the prior brightness, you don't need to cycle through again as on the Milwaukee with a single button for both power and brightness.4. It comes with a great quality carrying bag with shoulder strap for transport.I bought this for working on/painting a 26 foot sailboat, among other uses. The tower light is light enough to move around to brightly illuminate the hull as it is being painted (so you don't miss spots and the rolling and tipping progress is clear). I was able to paint one coat of the entire hull, topsides, boot and bottom, on one charge, several hours of light.The one thing it is missing versus the Milwaukee is the ability to power it with an extension cord. However, the reason I bought this is to not have to drag a cord around, so that's no loss to me.I'm going to buy another one, at least.

This is a MUST HAVE for ALL painters
This shows every imperfection, it's awesome!! I mean, it can also be a bit frustrating when you're doing most of the labor yourself while remodeling your home. However, very well worth it! Comes with a carrying case as well.
