Hot Shot waterproof camo rain pants
The initial reaction to the pants were as expected. The feel was good and the camo was as expected for realtree edge. Hopefully they are as waterproof as advertised.

Perfect for intended use
I can see how these camo, waterproof pants would be perfect for the hunter. If you're out for a long day of hunting--or hiking or just working outside--staying dry is important. These pants should do it. They're well-made with an elastic waist, easy to put on and take off with a comfort fit. And they're not bulky. Quick drying and washable, although I probably wouldn't put in a hot dryer. Would make a great gift for the outdoorsman.

Not! Waterproof
May work in very light rain but marketed as hunting rain gear. Spend more money and stay dry

Work well
Needed for overnight job, lots of rain lately. Pants work well. Love the camo pattern. Do wish it didn't have Veil Camo text all over it in spots. Fits well, about right on size. Wish I had ordered bigger to wear over other pants but they didn't have it in stock. Still good, recommended!

Seems great so far
I have outfitted my self with this companies hunting cloths with the veil camo. I really like the pattern. It blends in really well in the area I live. I was needing the rain pants as I’ve already got the jacket. What I like about it is it’s pretty quiet. There is still a little sound but not much. It’s silent enough it won’t spook the deer. These do repell water. I have found that if your sitting in the rain then after a while it can start to soak through. That’s of course if sitting and allowing it to just come down and sit on the cloths. When I’m walking there has never been any issues. The water just beads up and falls off. Just know that these are not insulated. They are meant for chilly days not the subzero weather.

Camo Rain Pant
These pants are comfortable and have a nice camo pattern. The netting inside the pant legs allow the skin to breathe. The front pockets have zippers to secure items. I thought it was odd that there were no other pockets. If you wear them, you have to travel light or carry other stuff in a jacket, pack, or something else. The waist is easily adjustable with pull strings but there is no front zipper for relieving oneself. The pants also have zippers along the bottom of each leg. I honestly don’t know what these are for since they don’t detach from the pants (to form shorts) and it doesn’t roll up. I guess it’s for cooling off the legs. Anyway, the pants are comfortable and lightweight and would work for non-cold conditions and light traveling.

Somewhat waterproof, but not 100%
This is mostly waterproof, but not 100%. With heavy rains or a few hours of light to moderate rain, it will start soaking in moisture around the ankles, so depending on your boots, your feet might get wet. The rest seems to be somewhat watertight. You'll probably need waterproof gaiters along with quality waterproof boots to keep your feet dry.

Tight in the legs
Product looks good. I have the matching jacket that performs well. Legs are narrow so if you are muscular or plan to layer it will be difficult
