The Hario V60 'Mugen' Ceramic Coffee Dripper, Size 02, in glossy white, combines aesthetic appeal with functional design. Its smaller bottom hole creates controlled flow for a richer extraction, while the removable base simplifies cleaning. The unique diamond pattern inside enhances brewing efficiency, making it a must-have for coffee enthusiasts.

Slower drawdown, better cups with more developed roasts
as the title says: with the mugen I've experienced slower drawdowns and more chocolaty cups with most medium to darker roasts.I don't quite get my favorite results with super light roasts, but a lot of the roasters local to me roast way darker than I typically prefer. as such I found a lot of success with this as I found it to produce better and more consistent cups with those coffees.I didn't do any extensive testing or fancy refractometry but I definitely liked what I got in the cup.Like a lot of people I bought one to swap it into the Hario Switch base, don't do that, the heat retention isn't worth the slower drawdown for steep and release.

This makes perfect coffee!
This is one of the best purchases I’ve made. It has allowed me to make the perfect cup of coffee. I like the Mugen over the V60. It’s easier to use and I get better coffee. Heck, I get great coffee! I much prefer pour over to drip or French press.

Same as most V Brewers, marginally better flow
One more of many variants of the pour over V filter. The claims of "no blooming' needed seems more marketing than real. Blooming does bring out better coffee than without. Unclear of the benefits of a cone without channels. The folder/hanger is a nice touch. Quality is very Japanese as one would expect though not clear where it is made. At this price not Japan I am sure. If you have never tried pour over coffee, this is a very inexpensive way to start and get good coffee too.

Pour and walk away, easy and tasty but best for single cup brews
I wanted a coffee maker that's even simpler than everything else I already had (V60, aeropress, clever). The Mugen lives up.I can use any kettle. Pour carefully in circles, give it a quick swirl, and walk away; no preheat needed with medium roast. To clean, toss the filter an just rinse the cone in the sink. With all other brewers, you have to time things, either infusion time or pours. In terms of recipe, I don't follow their recommendation and instead I do the same 1 cup recipe I always do: 15g of coffee to 250g of water, grind size slightly finer than V60. Tastes delicious and pretty close to my V60.The only downside is that it is best suited for single brews. 24g of coffee takes forever to brew and does taste muted from declining water temperature. I will continue to brew 30/500g with the regular v60 02.

Simple and makes a great cup
As with all Hario products, value is excellent. The Mugen is no exception. Easy to use and durable. I like this recipe best for light and medium roasts: 16.5g coffee, 225ml water 93-96 degrees. Pour water at a steady rate until you reach 225ml at 40 seconds. Let drain and you're done. Makes a consistent tasty cup of coffee. Enjoy!

Very fragile
Makes excellent coffee but is very fragile. Easily broken.

Makes a nice pour over
Don't like to use plastics with heat, so this ceramic pour-over coffee maker is great.

Must have dripper: fits everywhere, light, good quality plactic, looks nice. I use it for 500ml/30g pours.

Better than most, but original V60 is the best
Better than most, but original V60 is the best. The coffee maker is certainly easiest to use, but the flavor is a rather 1 note taste, while the original V60 produces a more complex coffee flavor. If you are wanting a no brainer coffee maker this is great, but if you expect the best stick with the original V60 versions. I had the original, but switched to the more elegant looking decanter version. Top notch coffee!

Simple way to make coffee in the morning
I bought this for a simple and quick way to make drip coffee in the morning. My preferred drink is an espresso-based drink, but occasionally I don’t have that much time in the morning to make an espresso. So I was looking for a simple way to make drip coffee. A quick and simple clean up process and also portability was important to me. Previously I was using the Aeropress, which was a great method that I used for 2 years. However, I ended up gifting the Aeropress to a friend and was looking for a brewer I didn’t have to babysit. I came across the Hario V60 Mugen on YouTube and was intrigued. It also wasn’t too pricey, so I bought one. Have been satisfied so far. The paper filters are also easy to find in local coffee shops.
