Smokin Beans 2-Pound Indonesia Sulawesi Toraja Coffee, Giling Basah Processing, Espresso Roast, Premium Whole Bean Specialty Coffee

I stumbled across this coffee by accident - just browsing through Amazon. I used to drink it in the 80's when I worked at a coffee shop and, when I saw it, I remembered it as the best coffee I could recall having tasted. So I ordered a bag. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Opening up it smelled incredible. So I ground a bit, which smelled even better, then cleaned my pot before making a cup.So here I am sitting here drinking it.I wish I could say it isn't bad...But that would be a disservice because this coffee is Fantastic! Medium dark, tons of flavor and an aroma that had me thinking about how many more cups I can drink and still get some sleep later!Buy this coffee would be my suggestion - because it has made my day to come to a cup of Java This good after a long day at a stressful job!

Good value for the price. Coffee came fresh and smelling intoxicating. The taste is very good, not bitter nor old. I ground my specific amount for my coffee machine and it was a great tasting cup of coffee. Will definitely buy it again as well as check out what other coffees they have (Ethiopian I'm sure will be good from them, too).

This is very deceptive. Nowhere do you see a clue that these beans are a blend. Everything leads you to believe this is single origin Sulawesi coffee, but the tiny print on the back reveals that it's blended with their Backwoods hike blend.You might like this if you like coffee from the pots in a factory breakroom, but this tastes NOTHING like Sulawesi coffee.

I loved Smokin Beans Yirgacheffee Coffee and after the reviews of Sulawesi, I was hoping for more good coffee. This isn't bad coffee, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as Yirgacheffee. I'll keep it because returning it will probably cost me $6.00 in postage but will mix it in with some older stuff. In general it didn't taste as fresh or bright as Yirgacheffee. The beans smelled great but were dull and not oily at all.

I lived in Indonesia for several years and tried most of the coffees grown there. My favorite is Sulawesi Toraja. This coffee is the same as what I enjoyed there.

Not what I expected. Years ago, I tasted the best coffee I ever had - a Sulawesi sold by Starbucks. It must have been a vintage year because I've never again found its equal.

Excellent tasting coffee. The coffee was truly fresh-roasted, and smelled heavenly when we opened the package!
