Honest assessment of the Bravedge 8” Chef’s knife!
Impressive looking knife right out of the box! Packaged nicely. Knife is very sharp but not quite as sharp as I expected. I like a knife to breeze through whatever I am cooking. With vegetables it was smooth with hardly any effort but meats tools a little more effort. Still very sharp though. I thought the balance of the knife could be better as well. It seemed a little light in the handle. Overall though for the money I think this was a very good deal for the knife. Now we wait to see how it does after Numerous uses.

Great ergo handle and sharp
I got it today and went to work chopping vegetables. The handle is great. Super comfortable and lightweight. A lot of high quality knives tend to be very heavy and you hand tires quickly. It’s nice that the handle on this one is made of a different, more ergonomic handle. The blade is extremely sharp, as you would expect of a new knife. Went through tomatoes like butter. Something about the thickness of the knife made slicing slivers of onion super easy. I think because it is slightly thicker or has a bit of resistance to the coating. Either way it was nice. I usually have a hard time getting the paper thin effect. It’s not a $150 knife so don’t expect that level of quality. But it is a great knife for the price and actually exceeds the price if it holds up which time will tell. It also comes with a knife sleeve or sheath which, tbh, I don’t have a purpose for since I store my knives in a knife block in my drawer and don’t plan to travel with it lol. But maybe it would be a nice feature if you intend to toss it in a drawer with other utensils.

The Sharpest Knife!
This is by far the sharpest knife I’ve ever owned! Well balance and seems well made. The price is great! It’s become the only chefs knife I use, and I own several high end German ones.

Pretty Good Knife
Overall, I am fairly impressed with this kitchen chef knife. I'll preference with the fact that I haven't had a proper set of kitchen knives in quite some time, so this knife has been a real game-changer for me. Right upon arrival, the packaging is very nice and I could tell this would be a pretty high-quality product. I love that a sheath is included, which makes it nice for storing after use. The blade is already very sharp right out the box, I was able to finely dice garlic with my first use; something I hadn't been able to do in ages! One complaint I do have about the knife is the handle. I do like the look of the wooden handle, but it's a bit soft and not the best thing to hold. I wish it were a metal hilt or something that didn't feel as pliable. I haven't had any issues holding it or slipping or anything like that, this is more just personal choice. I'll just have to see how it holds up over time; same goes for the black finish on the knife. I really love that part of its look, and I haven't had any issues with the finish coming off, but I will need to keep an eye on that as it ages. Overall, it's a pretty good value for the money and I do recommend it to just about any home chef out there!
