Very pretty but not practical for a turtle any bigger than a juvenile. The design is not good. I bought a zoo med small size Turtle dock (pictured) with measurements of 5" X 11 1/4" and as you can see it is much bigger than this one and half the price.I angled this platform as I have a hatchling about the size of a quarter so this will be perfect for the next year or so, but with this design, my painted turtle juvenile wouldn't be able to use this for more than a couple of months.. Really pretty, but awful design and way overpriced in my opinion.

It sinks like a brick. Bought it to use as a turtle basking platform. If the suction releases it is at the bottom of the pond. Key word was floating. Unless I leave the bubble wrap on it, it doesn't float.

This works as a basking area for hatchling and small turtles, but the problem is that the two removable attachment "rods" are much too short and the four suction cups are flimsy. As a result, it is difficult to secure and keep in place so I no longer use it. This could easily be remedied by the manufacturer.

It was too small for our 5yo red eared slider. However he loves sleeping on it and using it as a scratching post so it's at the bottom of his habitat now.

Squirt our red eared slider loves it.It is a good looking life like fake floating log.Although it doesn't float it rests on the suction cup plastic bracket.We are currently using it in a 20 gall tall aquarium. Overall it will definitely work for a smaller aquarium and best for a smaller aquatic turtle.
