These products arrived quickly and undamaged.Overall, I am very pleased with these products. We needed a few generic transparent acrylic rods for a modeling project and these worked perfectly. The only complaints I have with them is that a few of them presented with larger chips out of the end surfaces upon arrival and one arrived with a mild convexity throughout its entire length. However, since we didn't need every rod, the one with the convexity was not an issue and since we needed to recut each rod anyway to specific measurements, that solved the chipped end issues as well.In conclusion, I recommend this product. Especially since I was unable to find anything similar locally. Once again, the only reason I gave these products 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the mild defects. Otherwise, it was a great buy for my needs.I hope this review helps.

I received these quickly and all in good shape. I carved out one end and cemented in an LED light. As expected the whole rod glowed with the light, slowly decreasing towards the farther away end from the LED. This had a great effect on the presentation of the ray gun, as I set up a quiet siren that began as the trigger was pulled, and stopped when the LED, at the base of the acrylic rod, lit up [not a Jr. High project without guidance], a five second delay. A pull on the second trigger ignited a very intense LED strobe to flash once at the very tip of the ray gun, and the lights all went off. This gave it the appearance of powering up, ready to fire, then firing; all in a very dramatic way. My grandson was immensely pleased and proceeded to shoot every other alien that Halloween at the party and on the street. I made 2 others using similar plans, but different colored LEDs. -- This worked as expected. The rods would work for many projects, giving clear lift to platforms, angular structure or as carriers of light. Just delighted.

I am a reef tank keeper, all the fish and corals need places to hide and attach but its rare to find live rock that fits a particular space or design idea. I use these rods along with a 1/4" masonry bit and hammer drill to make holes for the rods to build caves and other structures for my tanks. They work great, add a bit of reef glue or epoxy putty for a permeant rock structure, or just to hold rocks together and keep them from falling over. I have been using this method for years and have never had any negative side effects in my reefs. You simply cant find another item that does the job as quickly, easily, or cheaply as these acrylic rods.

They are clear.... They are rods... they are clear rods!! I am impressed with the clarity, strength and were in perfect shape when they arrived. I am not using these in any traditional use, and needed to have them fit a 1/4" ring perfectly all the way across, but there seems to be a variation in the diameter along the length of the shaft. But no worries, for the price, they work just fine!

These acrylic rods worked great for my purposes. My neighbor cut the rods down to 1 1/4", cut groves at each end, put two rods together, and put "O" rings at each end (similar to the toothpaste ones). I'm using them for the Aveeno 7.3 oz cream tubes. It works great, making it so much easier to get the cream out of the tube. I truly thank my neighbor, Stan.

Used to aquascape a reef tank and worked okay for supporting some nice small to medium overhangs that I created. would use a bigger size if I had to do it over but overall very happy. easy to cut .

Arrived as expected. I will be experimenting with these to try and make some light rods where the entire acrylic rod is lit up evenly by lighting one end of the rod. Currently when you light up one end, the light just travels through the rod and out the other side.

My wife likes to hide the electronics in the furniture, especially VCR, DVD, which is a problem when you need to know if they are on, I'm using this pipes for transmit the infrared from the TV control inside of the furniture, now I'm looking for they way to cool down the electronics inside of the cabinets. :)
