Dr. Brown’s Breast Milk Storage Bags, Disposable and Durable Bags for Freezing & Heating Breast Milk, (50ct) 6 oz Bags, BPA free

I used NUK prior to these & never had any spills. Decided to give these a try though because of the high rating, and the fact that they come with the sterile seal tear off tab (NUK doesn’t)... but the first time I tried pouring out of these bags I spilled a lot of breast milk. The dr brown bag isn’t as flexible and at first it was also hard to get all the air out when sealing the bag. So I was somewhat dissapointed, But since I’ve opened the box I had to use them. However now I’m super happy with this purchase. This thicker bag protects the milk in the freezer (and milk doesn’t have that soapy smell after thawing). just feels like a better quality object, very sturdy. I wish I used these from the start.Looking at the pictures, I believe I got the newer updated version. It has these reinforced sides that make it less flexible and somewhat awkward even to pour into or out of. Narrow opening. But in all other aspects I feel like it’s great.

I'm surprised to read so many negative reviews for these new bags. Personally, I love them, even though the older version was also great. This updated version has really thick plastic that is great for freezer storage. The bag stand upright. They have pour spouts. The trick to pouring milk into them easily is to open them from the bottom first before pouring the milk in. That way, they're already standing upright. I do agree with other reviewers that the bags are wider, making them take up more freezer space, but I appreciate the extra margin around the bag to prevent leakage. The perforated seal at the top is easy to rip, so just be careful when you're tearing it off; not a big deal though. I store 8 oz per bag.

These worked great when I was breastfeeding and a great way to make baby food in batches so you can freeze them so you can have per meal.

These bags are great for storing and freezing milk. Out of the 4 brands I have used, these feel the most durable. The top opening is also much easier to use than some other brands out there. Only down fall is they hold 6oz.

I haven't tried other bags, so I can't speak to their quality. But I love the quality of these Dr. Brown's bags. These bags are more expensive than most others. In my experience, not one single one of my bags has ever broken or leaked. I really recommend them based on that alone. The plastic seems thicker (friends gave me samples of other brands, so although I didn't used them, I did check them out), the double seal at the top is a really nice feature, and the label at the top is very easy to write on.
