Squalane+ New Phyto Retinol Serum

I really like this serum. Bakuchiol is becoming such a popular ingredient, it seems most skincare companies has at least one product that uses this retinol alternative. It doesn't feel harsh, my skin absorbs this pretty quickly. It didn't leave my skin with any uncomfortable greasy, oily, or heavy feeling. The serum has a light fragrance to it but nothing overwhelming. I just had a facial recently and she said I have very good skin and barely had to do much, so I want to keep it up with a serum like this. I can't speak on how well this works for wrinkles yet because it is too soon to tell and I am mostly using this as a preventative and not a reversal. I had never seen this brand before ordering. Now I see it advertised all the time. Evidently Reese Witherspoon uses it. This serum looks and feels more like a lotion than a serum. It has a pleasant earthy scent. It's quick absorbing. There's no stickiness left behind. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't aggravate me at all. I'm a regular user of anti-aging products and I rarely notice any results. If it is doing something, it's pretty subtle. I figure that because of all the products I've been using over the last few years, I've already been getting results and anything new just continues what's already started.

Sadly the packaging and the container have been changed. The previous packaging felt like you were opening a special gift. This has been changed and is now very plain and the cream is no longer in a bottle but a cheap plastic container with a pump. I see, unlike with the bottle, the top cannot be removed so as to extract the last remains of the cream which the pump can’t dispense. I am perhaps frugal but I just hate throwing away the remaining dregs at $72 a bottle.

This is a good serum. I'm not sure it will replace my usual retinoid, but I've enjoyed using it all the same. It is cheaper than my usual brand so that is a point in its favor! Bakuchiol is an awesome retinol alternative, leaving skin looking smoother and niacinamide is great for brightening. The packaging is ok. The pump is fine, although the opaque tube makes it hard to know how much is left. I'm mainly using this as a preventative product, so I can't comment too much on how it works on wrinkles. I will say that using a retinoid has been great for my acne though. Whether it is this brand or my usual, I notice that if I stop using it my skin gets cranky. It does have a little bit of a grassy, earthy smell, which is not my favorite. It's not bad, but I don't love it.

Super disappointing. Bottle appears authentic but it’s light as a feather and nearly empty.

This serum is fantastic.Great ingredients and safe to use.Good alternatives.This is a solid serum that can be a daily or couple times a week type of serum. Super pampering and makes a difference in skin texture.

This serum has a very mild green herbal scent that is refreshing. It comes in a plastic pump bottle that took a surprising number of pumps to get the product flowing, but is in my opinion much easier to use than a glass bottle and glass dropper. The texture is very light and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky afterwards, which is great because I don’t like going to sleep with a sticky face. So far, I’ve found it to be pretty gentle on my face and I hope to see results in a few weeks of consistent use.

This review is for Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum.Smells yummy, it's very moisturizing without being oily and greasy and it absorbs quickly. I LOVE this product. I look better and better each day I use it. I recommend it esp. if you have sensitive dry skin.
