I have tried about half a dozen different types of sand for my aquariums in the last month. The Landen Namale sand is my favorite. It rinsed out easily. Not a lot of organic material or weird smell. Nice neutral color. It is not sharp but is fine enough to satisfy the burrowing instincts of my cory cats and kuhli loaches Settles quickly. Does not fog up the tank when disturbed, and does not tend to get lifted up the gravel vac. Wish it wasn't so expensive. They ask such weird questions when you leave a review...sheerness and thickness? Yeah, five stars there.

The media could not be loaded.  In my personal opinion this is a little pricey for such a small amount of sand. It also came out a little darker than expected I would recommend getting your sand somewhere else you could probably find something with a little more bang for your buck with a good amount of research. But I’m using it for my 7.5 gallon Nano shrimp tank so it’ll kinda get the job done with some filler substrates.

I would give it 5 stars if it didn't take sooo loooong to rinse and didn't cost so much. But if you're willing to pay the high price and spend the time rinsing the dust out, this is the best sand I have found yet! Great texture, not too fine, just course enough. I needed to replace what turned out to be cichlid sand that was raising my ph to terribly high levels. This was a lot of work but it looks so natural. My other sand was much whiter but I am very pleased with the natural color of this, it has a little bit of sparkle too. My tank is just a little cloudy right after changing it out but not too bad. It should filter out in a day. I think it will be worth the work. Whatever you do don't skip a thorough rinsing before putting it in your tank. Especially if you already have fish. It would probably kill them.

Perfect size and color I've purchased a lot of the sands for my tanks. I only needed a small amount of o replace what gets lost in filtering.moat of the ones I get are a little off on the color, but this one was right on thank you
