Cat's meow Toy (V4 Version)

Update to my earlier review. I've discovered the problem. The wand breaks off little bits at a time and when it is shorter than the skirt, it sticks to the carpet and stops circling. At first I thought my cats were biting it off so I used bitter apple but it still broke off and there were no teeth marks. Also, each broken bit is the same length. I would love to see replacement wands. This model's are unique and not compatible with other model's wands.My cats love this kind of toy. I bought this one because of the remote control and timer. The timer is okay but the remote control only works if you are standing directly over it. In other words not much of a remote. The other problem is that the wand stops for long periods of time for no apparent reason. I'm returning and am tempted to get another one in case mine just happens to be defective.If it weren't for the wand stopping, I'd probably accept that the remote is pretty useless. And it's not because it's on some random timing thing that the wand stops because it stops for 15 minutes at a time.

I have purchased ten of the Cat's Meow toys over the last few years, including at least one each of the four different versions. None of the ten I purchased lasted longer than six months. If my cats did not love the toy so much, I would never buy another one! The most recent purchase, version 4, worked for only one day and then did not function anymore. Sooooo, if you've never purchased one, I suggest not to buy it, because your cat may love it and will "beg" you to buy a replacement when it quits working.Update: After receiving "another" shipment of the Cat's Meow, it likewise operated for only ONE day and then quit working, although, in this case, the lights still came on. What a frustrating experience. Save your time, energy, and money for some other toy your cat(s) might enjoy!!!

The ONLY good thing was it actually arrived after FORTY SIX DAYS!!! It was ordered 2-18-18 and arrived 3-4–18. Yesterday it BROKE! BROKE!! It was here for thirty days it took 46 days from ordering to delivery and it was used exactly 30 days and it’s completely broken and unusable. I am not pleased. I am sharing this with all my cat fancier friends. Fifty cents a day it cost us to have this piece of junk in our house.BEWARE-PS: In order to warn everyone, it REQUIRED me to give it at least one star. It deserved NONE.

This says "Cat's Meow" in the title and the photos, but in person it says "Cat's Toy" on it. I've had the "Cat's Meow" one, and it actually works, whereas this one is way too fast even on the Slow setting, and then it will randomly stop after not running very long, and it won't work anymore. I thought it was just broken, but by morning I could start it again, only to have it quickly stop like that again. What a waste of time.

My cats LOVE this. We had another toy like this, which they tore apart (from rough play). Hopefully, this one will last longer. I also love that there is no nasty wire around the edge of the fabric. The other one I had had a wire, which I was worried would hurt the cats. Can't think of anything bad about this toy.

The cats like it, but they can turn it on themselves. It took forever to get, but it was worth the wait. They love it.

Purchased specifically because of timer and multi-speed. Remote does not work at all. Tried a brand new battery and still nothing. Base works as described but if you want remote forget it.

The remote has no range to speak of. It does not work unless you are standing directly over the toy with it. I purchased this model because it comes with a remote. If I had known the remote was useless, I would have bought the cheaper one without the remote. The toy itself works fine.
