I do a lot of macrame, and everyone always compliments a project with these turquoise beads. They’re a favorite! Holes are plenty big for dual 4mm cord to fit easily, but not so big that they flop around. Good snug fit without being a struggle to work with. Highly recommend and will be buying again.

If you are looking for breads that you can slide onto your hair without worry, I'd suggest NOT getting these. At the very least, don't expect the smooth breads you see in the product images; the real ones are rough on the inside. My picture shows 5 beads grabbed at random (3 small, 2 large) right after I opened the package. The unfinished wood will snag and break hair that it is slid along; the splinters will also likely catch the threads of any delicate textiles an artist may be crafting with.However, the beads are quite beautiful and pretty smooth on the outside. The wood grain will likely look nice on your project if you find a strong enough material to use the beads with.Edit: Oh, I forgot to say that the size is nice. They would be able to fit on my hair when it's in medium-sized braids (8-10 braids).
