SauconyMen's Excursion TR15 Trail Running Shoe

Just finished thru hiking the Colorado trail then washed the shoes and took a photo. I wore 1/2 size larger than my normal size. As you can see, they held up well and I still wear them. They were great on my feet with no problems. So impressive that I just ordered another pair. Traction was good and I only slipped down a couple times from loose fine scree going doing steep grades. Best trail runner I have ever worn.

I tried a bunch of running shoes, these fit great, give great support, and look good too - it doesn't hurt that they were better priced than most of the other competitors.

I would consider these more "hiking" shoes than "trail running" shoes. This is because the midsole is firm, and doesn't absorb much of the impact inherent in running. They would be fine for the occasional short (30 minute) technical run, but if you plan on regularly running longer distances, you might want to consider investing in Saucony's higher tier models (Peregrine, Xodus Ultra, etc.) and save some wear-and-tear on your joints. That being said, the outsole is plenty grippy and durable to protect your feet from rocks and you feel grounded and stable, which is great for hiking. So my 4-star rating is only because they are advertised as "trail running" and not because there is anything wrong with the shoes themselves.

Very comfortable shoe, so far put on close to 50 miles on them over various surfaces and no blisters or uncomfortable pinching of any sort. Fit was true to size.

I've purchased about 5 pairs of these and they last about 6 to 8 months before starting to break down. I usually wear them for a year before they are unwearable. The cloth and foam liner around the heal breaks apart leaving a sharp plastic bit exposed which cuts into the ankle. Large holes also form around the sides of the foot bed, but haven't caused me any issues.Complaints aside, this shoe fits my foot perfectly and is very comfortable which is why I'll continue to buy it.

I had these for 8 months before being forced to replace them, but for me, that's a long time. They tore on the side so I just ordered another pair.

My trainer recommended them. Pretty comfy! Since she likes em, must be good. She's brilliant when it comes to working out, gear, etc..Besides, if I didn't get them she'd just beat the crap out me harder, and it's already everything I got to keep her happy.

The heel padding will wearout really fast and will live the plastic reinforcement exposed.
