I actually bought these gloves for welding and they work great. Well insulated and keep me from burning my hands in my welding class. Unlike my thinner previous pair. Thicker with better heat protection but still flexible enough to work in.

I bought these for high temp grilling and they work great for that. Long enough to protect your forearms from the heat, and protective enough to move hot coals around in the firebox.

Exactly what I was looking for. I have big hands and am always a little concerned things like his will not fit well but they do. They offer pretty good protection for forging. They are a little on thick side, but one would hope they are. I even got them a day early.
