Solid pen. Great price and durability
I have owned this pen for about 4 months. I bought it on a whim with a giftcard (a long with a small flashlight) to make my EDC a little more robust. I work in live event production so I look for consistency and durability in my products. This pen has held up to that. I really appreciate that it comes with the three ink refills. I found myself working on somw random projects putting up some walls and it did great with marking up boards and drywall for me to cut. Marking the wood kind of ruined the life of that ink cartridge. Granted I had been using it for about a month at that point. It easily could have just been time to change it anyway. The only downside I have found is the size. It is a bit longer and heavier than I was hoping. But at the same time I am never worried of it breaking in my pocket. It is very well built. I haven't had the need come up to break any glass with it yet. But I have used it as a handle to stretch out video screen. So it held up to me putting my full weight pulling back on a single middle point it was looped through.I would recommend this pen. Especially at the price point. I am good at not loosing pens. But I wouldn't be all that upset if I did happen to leave it at a venue or something.

Reasonably priced self-protection device & writing pen...that you can carry onto an airplane...or anywhere! Great gift.
Great gift...as a stocking stuffer or for an office party. We have used tactical pens for years, and what happens when you run out of ink? Unless you know that you can pick up a refill easily at an office supply store...you throw the pen in a drawer and there it stays. These pens come with multiple refills and the small metal tool fits nicely in a tacklebox, wallet or purse...[unless you're going through a security zone], The pens are also approved for airline travel...as they are writing instruments. Tactical pens are a great gift for women...or anyone really that would like an extra layer of protection. The tactical pen is used as a kuboton...or striking implement. When attacked...the pen is meant to jab into pressure points...neck, temple, ribs, wrist, thigh...etc....and allow a victim time to run away. They can inflict quite a bit of damage by repeated strikes. The price point is excellent as well. Tactical pens can range up to $300.00...but the basic pen is pretty much the same: metal + pointy-end + writes. An excellent gift!

Great discrete tactical pen
I work in an area where I have to pass through security check points on a regular basis. I wanted something discrete for self protection but at a price point I wouldn't cry big tears if it got confiscated. This fits the bill perfectly. It's strong, the glass breaker is really sharp and the pen cap pull has an easy yet firm hold. It's a little larger and heavier than an average pen but not so bulky as to be prohibitive for carrying in a shirt pocket. A bonus was they had 4 ink refills in the box which in itself seemed like a great value. Then they threw in a really sturdy little credit card tool that would be helpful if you were in a bind. I'm not sure how much I'll use it but it's a nice add. This bundle seems like a great value made of strong materials. Love it.

Great tactical pen for the price.
I love this pen. It has i nice strong feel to it, looks great, is very durable, comes in a really nice gift box with 3 refills and a small card style multitool. I need access to a pen all the time but hate keeping one in my shirt pocket or front pant pocket so I usually put one in my back pocket clipped to the top. Unfortunately, I would never remember to take it out prior to sitting down and would break the clips or the pen itself. This is no longer an issue. All I have to do now is figure out what style/brand is refills these are so I can get some extra fine gel inserts for it. I have had it for a few months and use it pretty regularly and have only needed to use one of the refills so far. Awesome value for this great pen!

Works great for me!
This has been an awesome pen so far. No issues with the o-ring as in some reviews. I have been using this daily since it was delivered. The first ink refill lasted almost two months. I thought that was pretty good since I go through a gel pen every two or three weeks. I'm not sure who made the ink refill but they write very smooth. The carbide tip has not been a problem for me either, but I haven't tried to break any glass yet. If the need comes up I wouldn't hesitate though The pocket clip is holding up well too. Usually that is the first part of a pen that goes. Overall I like this pen and will purchase another for myself or for gifts.

I love it!
Best deal on Amazon considering it includes 4 ink cartridges and a wallet tool, even without the extras it's the best design, it's comfortable without aggressive knurling like the others and won't rip your pockets up, the cap pulls off and stores on either side of the pen with a positive click so unlike the others it won't twist closed while your writing, also has a tungsten carbide tip for breaking safety glass or scribing in hard materials. Cap has a flat top for resting your thumb for support if used for defensive purposes. It uses widely available ink refill cartridges and it writes great. Using aircraft grade aluminum this pen will take a beating.

Awesome pen and awesome customer service!!
I have to admit that I love and carry a tactical pen daily. I have owned several over the years and this OutGear ranks at the very top. First of all the price is really nice! This is definitely NOT a low quality pen! The construction is very solid..rivaling much more expensive brands. If you are considering a tactical pen, look no further that this OutGear. You will not be disappointed! Plus, for this low price, they throw in a handy 11-in-1 tool. Finally, customer service is great! Lilly contacted me to make sure that all was well with my purchase. OutGear gets my highest recommendation!

Neat survival item with great price!!
Item as described. Pen is a bit heavy--so, this wouldn't be a good idea as a long term writing tool for people suffering hand/nerve issues. Pen seems pretty sturdy--not likely to break easily!! Comes with ink inside and three extras. Ink seems pretty standard so it may be easy to replace. Card tool is a sturdy metal with SHARP edges (do be careful). Fits easily in any wallet slot. Took about 5 secs to figure out how to get to pen. ;) Just PULL apart! Ta-da! Bought as a gift and it was a hit. Great price for all that it offers!!
