Functional, with some drawbacks
I am former police and currently work security. That being said, I really appreciate a crisp look and tight fit on my uniform shirts. This does a much better than the other shirt stays and rubber belts I've tried. Bending isn't an issue with either bunching up or mobility, and keeps your shirt secure all day.Though there are some things to keep in mind.First, these do add wear and tear (fraying) to your shirts where you frequently wear the belt. So unless you wear this a little below your usual belt line or just aren't concerned about what little damage it does, you might consider another product. As far as sizing and comfort, the buckle does add a bit to the waistline and may make your pants a bit snug, depending on how tight your wear your pants. But if your pants' waistline are at least one size larger than what you normally wear you'll be fine. You may also need to adjust how tight your wear your inner and duty belts.I am a 31" waist and the 1.5x40 fits well as it is adjustable and most of the strip is a fine velcro that sticks. That being said I can't say how far the elastic section stretches for anyone larger than the recommended size.To address some of the issues I've seen about tucking shirts, I will say that as long as there is some give on your shirts and are able to fold the sides under your arms you can still adjust how tight it looks and feels along your front and back.

CAVEAT: Keeps shirt-tails tucked in, but may damage shirts, pants and ties
I have tried the following products to keep my shirt-tails tucked in in such a way to achieve a neat-looking, professional appearance -- mostly to no avail:1. Shirt garters -- difficult to apply, stretches shirt tails and socks in strange ways, not very user friendly when going to the bathroom. Also, the product had a tendency to stretch out and lose effectiveness.2. The Hidden Tailor (rubber-like product) -- short life-span due to tendency to tear and rip, but I was mainly put off by the revolting, malodorous stink.... and now, finally, this product. Here's a quick overview:PROS:-Product appears to be a durable product (good stitching, strong hook-and-loop surface, metal eyelets).-Product is quick to apply and remove (definitely faster than garters and less cumbersome than garters).-Product has a slim profile underneath your trousers (it's not bulky).-Product keeps the shirt in place throughout the day (provided the belt is applied properly below the trouser waistline).-Product doesn't smell bad! (see above critique on the rubber Hidden Tailor thingy).CONS:-Product's hook-and-loop construction is very robust, which means it adheres to almost any fabric surface. This makes it difficult to keep below the waistband because it adheres to the waistline of your pants as you're putting them on, causing them to ride-up (pulling up the shirt as well).-Product's robust hook-and-loop construction picks up EVERYTHING -- lint, dust, loose threads. Difficult to clean.-Product's robust hook-and-loop weave may damage clothing such as shirts, inside lining of pants, and especially silk ties! If your tie accidentally touches the hook-and-loop weave, be prepared to kiss the tie goodbye as it gets shredded.-Product's robust hook-and-loop surface results in a sharp, abrasive surface, which can cause friction burns on the hands and fingers as you adjust it (another reviewer pointed this out as well).CONCLUSION:-Use product with care. Put on your shirt first, then the product, then your trousers and belt. Once the product is safely covered up by the waistline of your trousers, then put on your tie.-Don't leave the product lying around where it can make contact with a fabric surface that responds badly to Velcro (i.e., your carpet, a knit scarf, your silk tie). When not in use, store the product safely within the provided tin (where it can't stick itself to anything else).-Don't cinch the product around your waist/shirt too much, lest you damage the fabric of your shirts.-Be patient when adjusting the product beneath your trouser's waistline, lest you shred your fingertips.-Be patient and careful when pulling up your trousers over the product. Otherwise, the product will adhere prematurely to the trouser flaps as you zipper/button up, dragging the product above the waistline (and the shirt with it), defeating the purpose of the entire thing.Basically, practice makes perfect. Try it out the night before so that you can get the hang of working it into your daily routine. The first time I used the product, it took me an extra 8-10 minutes to get dressed properly as I kept having to adjust the thing to keep it from riding up.Overall, once you have the product in place, it delivers what it advertises: it will keep your shirt well-tucked into your trousers, making for a nice, clean fit.

Nothing Else Compares!
I went to a Military Service Academy and currently work in the private sector where appearance is still important. Keeping a shirt tucked in at all times is certainly one way of maintaining a professional appearance. I'm always very active wearing uniforms and it is impossible to keep my shirt tucked in at all times. I tried to use the stirrup style and regular style of shirt stays. They work, but they have limitations. For starters, they're awkward to put on. I also found that they worked better on cotton shirts, but not that well on blended or synthetic shirts as they would pop off. Second, they are not comfortable to wear. Finally, they look a bit too much like garter belts for my taste.I found this product on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. It came in a nice container and with a very simple set of instructions. I tried it out and it is FAR BETTER than anything else I've ever tried before. It accomplishes TWO things. First, it does keep the shirt tucked in. However, another advantage is that it keeps the pants up! The surface of the belt has a velco-ish texture on portions of both sides. The inside surface keeps the shirt tails in place, and the outside surface keeps the pants up.I'm in the engineering field now and I'm always on the move. There are always times when I have to climb up something to or crawl around in tight spots to inspect things. Not only does my shirt stay tucked in, but my pants stay up as well. I think this product should be standard issue!

Great product keeps your shirt tucked in pretty good.
I like the fact that I can adjust the belt and it stays in place. I use this product for my uniform shirts to look professional and not sloppy.

Holds uniform in all day
Tried it for the last few days and it’s been great. Holds my uniform in with no issue. It grabs like crazy so the initial placement is tricky but does the job well.

Okay
I returned because it didn't work as well the keepers that snap down your leg & attach to the socks.
