Took 9 days to be delivered internationally. I had high hopes due to the great reviews. Basically the brand-new batteries were only used to light this lamp. The motor wasnt working so there wasnt any continuous swirling of “snow”. It just looks like a normal lighted lamp once all the snow is on the ground. No exchange option. Just return and refund.

We ordered this knowing that there is no "Santa Dog and Tree Scene". Instead, it is a couple on a bench in a park. I guess you would be disappointed if you were expecting Santa - it seems that the header and photo do not match. We still rate it very highly because it is a well made, bright attractive ornament - and a versatile winter scene that can be used anytime, unlike Santa, who would tend to go back in the cupboard shortly after Christmas. So, we would recommend this - just make sure you know what you are getting!!!

This is an excellent Christmas decoration piece that attracted many comments from our visitors during the holiday period. The switch underneath the lantern can be used to switch on the swirling snow either continuously, or for a timed period of five hours from the moment the switch is moved to that position. The lantern will then automatically switch on for another five hours at the same time the next day. This timed mode was used by us throughout the Christmas period and the three 'C' batteries were still working well after four weeks.

Ich kann mich nur manchmal wundern, welch eigenartige Rezensionen manche Kunden abgeben. Wenn mir die Laterne zu kitschig ist, bestelle ich sie doch gar nicht? Dann muss ich sie hinterher auch nicht schlecht bewerten! Man erkennt so gut wie gar nicht, dass es sich um eine Kunststofflampe handelt, sie könnte optisch durchaus aus Metall sein. Der Glitter klebt zwar zuerst am Fenster, fällt aber ab, nachdem sie in Gebrauch ist. Ein Motor ist bei unserer Lampe nicht zu hören, sie funktioniert absolut lautlos. Ob die Laterne mit Batteriebetrieb ist oder mit Netzanschluss, das weiß ich auch bereits vor der Bestellung. Für mich wäre ein Netzkabel äußerst störend, ich stelle meine Deko ja nicht immer neben der Steckdose auf! Da tausche ich gerne gelegentlich die Batterien. Und einen Timer hat die Laterne auch. Man kann sie auf Dauerbetrieb stellen oder die Timerfunktion nutzen (Schalter nach links oder rechts!). Dann leuchtet die Laterne 5 Stunden und ist 19 Stunden aus. Wir haben die Laterne bei Freunden entdeckt und sie auch bestellt. Sie sieht qualitativ hochwertig aus, steht fest und sicher und ist ein hübscher Blickfang für die Advent- und Weihnachtszeit!

Arrived today by Royal Mail, well packed and in perfect condidtion. Absolutely delighted with my Snowmen Christmas lantern. Inserted the batteries as instructed and it works beautifully. I love lights of all kinds so this adds to my collection for my display at the festive season. Super facility is the timer switch - switch it on at 5pm and it will switch off six hours later automatically then come on again at the same time day after day until it is told different. DO NOT USE RECHARGABLE BATTERIES.
