Day One Impression - Right click could be quieter.
***This is currently a day one review. I have just received the mouse today, April 26th, 2017.******I have owned my Logitech M705 for 5 years and use it as a point-of-reference for this TeckNet Silent mouse.***Form factor wise, the TeckNet Silent Plus is similar to Logitech's M705 linked below. Logitech Wireless Marathon Mouse M705 with 3-Year Battery Life ----------Mass, in comparison to the M705: - M705 is 89.2 grams with usb (1.7 g usb) - TeckNet is 83.4 grams with usb (1.7 g usb) - M705 can operate with one AA battery - TeckNet must have two AA batteries. These were measured myself. My M705 is missing a little sliding plastic on the button, so the actual grammage for it is probably 89.5 grams. However, considering the M705 can be used with one AA battery (my AA batteries are 25.4 grams each), it means the M705 CAN be lighter in use than the TeckNet. However, the primary concern to consider is the clicking noise.----------Clicking noise, in comparison to the M705: - M705 has a loud Left/Right/WheelLock click - TeckNet has a loud MouseWheel/DPS click and relatively quiet Left/Right click. (Right click is noticeably louder though) - M705 has relatively quiet "forward" and "back" button clicks. (There's another quiet button built into the rubber, near the base, by default is an application switching button) - TeckNet has loud "forward" and "back" button click.I have modified my M705 to have quieter clicks, but it still has that high pitch clicking noise. It is also more sensitive to click. The TeckNet does not have that click noise but rather a "thud." As mentioned above, my TeckNet's right click is louder (but still quiet-ish) than the left click.----------Features, in comparison to the M705: - M705 can run on one OR two AA batteries. - M705 can lock/unlock its scrollwheel for quick scrolling or normal scrolling. This mechanic eventually wears down and becomes inaccurate. - TeckNet's scrollwheel feels easily clickable but not too easy that I'll accidentally click it. - TeckNet's scrollwheel scrolls quietly. - Both have an on/off switch. - Both have a sleep mode while switched on. - TeckNet has "DPS" switching!Initial thoughts:I wanted to get a smaller mouse than my M705 that had silent clicking. I've gone down that route multiple times with two different products I'll mention later. Unfortunately, I feel like I've currently exhausted Amazon's supply of potentially reliable SMALL silent clicking mice WITH a back button. This TeckNet I feel like is my last hope for a silent clicking mouse (again, with at least a back button) at this time. While similar in size and shape to Logitech's M705, the TeckNet does feel slightly different in my hand. I've uploaded pictures to show the slight differences between the two. I believe the TeckNet fits my hand better somehow. For reference, I have big palms BUT average-length fingers... this makes me usually have to use X-Large gloves but Large gloves sometimes work.----------"Silent" Mouse I've tried: - This one still works but left/right clicks no longer consistently register unless you mash the click down ( JSCO Noiseless Mouse JNL-202K Blue ) - This one I tried after the above. I got two of these, the second one two weeks later from the first, and both eventually "broke" the same way.. The DPS, Forward, and Back buttons ended up not working as intended anymore, instead sending a LCtrl+LShift+LAlt+RCtrl+RShift+RAlt combination according to the on-screen keyboard ( SROCKER V5c 2.4GHz Wireless Silent Click Mouse No Laser Light Mice 4 Adjustable DPI Levels with 6 Buttons and Nano Receiver for Laptop/PC/Mac(Black) )----------Things I cannot comment on at this time but will update in the future: - Battery life - Build durability (IE we'll see if it lasts two weeks or two years) - Comfort level, when used 8+ hours a day for at least a few days.If readers want more info, comment away, and I'll try to get back with an answer in a timely manner. I WILL be using this mouse all the time, so I'll build up experience with it quickly. Mouse like Ninja
This definetly is a quiet clicker. That was what I read many reviews to find, and I am pleased with my order. My PC is a decent distance from my mouse behind a thick wooden desk which is often scattered with electronics and other material that is likely not great for the wireless reception. When I first plugged the reception USB antennae into the PC the mouse would have some apparent reception issues. I had a spare USB extender cord which I used to plug the receptor for this mouse and have it on my desk a few feet from the mouse and it is working like a charm. Depending on the distance / material between your PC and the mouse you may not have this issue.I click a lot at my office and didn't want to contribute to sound pollution and distraction. The one downside is that people may not realize how busy I am because they can no longer hear my clicking! At least my keyboard still makes noise...

pointer jumps around
I am returning this item. I am surprised at all of the great reviews, maybe I am unlucky and got a defective product. The design and feel is nice, and it's very quite. However the mouse pointer jumps around the screen and does not move smoothly. This makes the mouse unusable. I have to unplug and re-plug the receptor to make the mouse move smoothly, which works for a while. Also, if I don't use the mouse for a while, the pointer will not move. I have to click the mouse to re-activate it. If I can't find another mouse that I like, I might try to order this one again.

Not as quiet as I was hoping, well designed
*Update*Ordered another popular "silent" mouse, which is quieter as this one has gotten louder with use. This being said this mouse is very comfortable in hand and preferable for most uses. Extra star for comfort and ease of use, not as silent as expected.Loved it when it arrived, but I am noticing with use (over the last few days) they left mouse button is getting significantly louder than it was. The right mouse button is still quiet, but not used as much.Good mouse if you need something quieter than most, but it's by no means silent.

Not all of the buttons are silent, but still a reliable and quiet mouse.
I haven't had any connectivity issues and the mouse is responsive. I wish it had horizontal scroll, and I'd prefer not having to click to wake up the mouse, but I got the mouse for its advertised silent feature. With that being said, only the left and right click buttons seem to be any quieter than my other mice, but for the price I can't really complain. I don't have a sound meter or anything so I just did a quick video comparing the click sounds of my different mice and you can decide for yourself.
