so easy to use
I must admit that I was a little apprehensive in how well this extractor would work. But since I already owned an Omega 8006, I figured it was worth a try. Wow, this thing works great. Top notch workmanship, easy to use, easy to clean. The extracted oil is so very fragrant and tasty. This is going to really amp up my salad dressings! I also plan to use the "discards" as additions to things like my bread doughs and granola.

hard to mount pieces, get them to slide
working tube will not slide in the mount, very hard., its stuck 3/4 of the way. Seems 2 of the pieces from the first order were defective. Once we reached for help, response was very fast, replacement parts shipped a day after our first claim. Customer Service was very supportive, easy to work with and fast.Once we receive the replacement parts will update our review.

You don’t just set it up and go.
There’s definitely a learning curve to using this. My first attempt at making peanut oil, I ended up with what I’d describe as super thin peanut butter. When using larger nuts and seeds they need to be chopped fairly precisely.When it comes to the build, it couldn’t be better. This thing is SOLID. The cost of this is definitely in the build quality.I’m going to keep practicing and trying different seeds and nuts. I’m sure I’ll get it down after a couple more tries. Definitely recommended.

The barrel could absorb a direct hit from a 50 cal machine gun.
Maybe even an armor-piercing round. It's a solid rod, that's bored-out for the auger, and weighs a ton! I'm going to fabricate an interface from some 1/2" aluminum I've got; to run it from a cord-less drill.

Fits my Omega 8006 perfect!
This fits my Omega 8006 perfect.This thing is built like a tank.It can be a little tricky to get a good feed with some food items. Small dry seeds are best. I cool walnuts before using to help prevent clumping.
