Very well thought out.
I love these units. They give that extra peace of mind for CO monitoring as well as the other parameters VOC and PM measured. Knowing the quality of the air you are breathing with particulate matter (PM) and linking it up to a connected air filter and dehumidifier units really starts to control your own environment. Great design. Minimalistic. Also measures humidity and temperature to help set up routines with your other connected devices.

Just works however no widget support in 2024 is not on
This is a great little (it's much smaller than I imagined) device. It works really well in the sense of you can plug it in and it will just get going. It connected to my network straight away and calibrated quickly. It seemed to be an top-tier device, then I realised I couldn't set up a widget on my phone so I had to ask Alexa or click through the app (several buttons) to see the details. This might not be something I actually need, however, I would like to be able to see what the AQI live on my phone/desktop/Alexa device, I'm really very surprised this doesn't exist. I've taken a star off for this point alone however it isn't really worth taking an entire point off, it's more like half a point but that isn't an option. I do recommended this product and it has showed me that my PIV system has made the air in my home exceptionally clean which has put my mind at ease.

Only one thing missing!
I have one of these, and use it to control my air purifier which doesnt have a VOC sensor. The only annoyance is that it relies on passive air sampling, rather than a little fan to actively draw the air in over the sensor. This would make it much more reliable. I hear the little fan when it first powers up but it stops shortly after, so a minor firmware update would correct this.

Works.
I bought two of these back in October for 39.99 each when they were on deal. I don't know if I'd pay the full monty for them, but they're worth at least 40.The temperature tracking seems to be pretty accurate, as does the humidity when compared to other devices, but the VOC tracking seems like it might be a bit off as having a cheese sandwich can turn it red.Being able to ask Alexa what temperature it is in the bedroom and living room is great, especially when we're away as it means we can keep an eye on if it's too cold for the dog or the pipes during the winter. I've configured mine with Alexa and a Smart Plug to turn my heated blanket on in the morning if the temperature drops below 14c, which happens quite often in my house during the winter due to storage heaters.I recommend it, but I'd wait until it's on deal as you can just buy a temperature, air quality monitor for cheaper that's not "smart".

Great to know what you're breathing in
This is my new obsession! I'm constantly monitoring what's happening to the air quality in the house... What happens to the air after you've cooked? Are the chemicals you're breathing in after you spray your deodorant or cleaning sprays safe? Is the humidity causing damp and mould? All these questions and more probably won't be answered but you'll get a MUCH better idea of what you're breathing in and how healthy your home really is.We've had serious damp and mould issues in our home since moving in three years ago, but since our roof was replaced and new loft insulation installed at the start of 2022, the damp and mould problem is totally off the scale. This little device is helping me to keep a record of how rain and humidity are affecting the quality of the air in the house and it's shocking.Using this air quality monitor with a separate dehumidifier with built-in HEPA filter is helping me to improve the air quality in the house as and when needed.I bought this device while on offer... For what it is, I think the price I paid was fair. When it's on offer next time, I'll get another so I can monitor two areas of the house at the same time.Alexa integration is basic and needs to be improved. I wish it could do more such as asking 'What's the humidity in here?' without Alexa going on about the humidity outside and giving me a recap of the local weather. You have to be very specific with what you say for Alexa to display the air quality in the house without her giving you a weather update.I'd also like to be able to export the data so I can print it out for record keeping. I'm not sure if this is possible but I haven't seen any obvious way to do this yet.Set up wasn't as easy as you'd expect from an Amazon device. Even connecting to WiFi with an Amazon device such as the eero I use just wasn't straightforward. I tried to scan the QR code but that didn't do it. In the end I just had to set the whole thing up from scratch. Amazon, you can definitely do better than this.I have a feeling that this tiny device could easily be integrated into an Echo device in the not too distant future. An Echo 5th gen with integrated air quality monitor would be awesome but being able to place this device in new positions is useful... However, a much longer lead would be helpful or integrated chargeable battery would be the ultimate in flexibility and allow it to be placed anywhere needed.I would definitely buy another one of these... as long as it's on offer. I'd also recommend this to anyone who wants to be aware of what they're breathing in and help them to make decisions on improving the quality of the air in their home.
