pluslifeguard Mini 1 Portable Cell Phone Charger - Pink

I haven't used this a lot, but it has been working fine for me so far.It is a reasonable trade-off in terms of the size/capacity issue. You can get a huge power pack with a huge battery that will give more charges than this, but then you have to carry that around. Or you can have something much smaller that can't really fully charge your phone from zero but might give you a few more hours. This is sort of in the middle between those two choices. It has enough battery capacity that it should about fully charge a iPhone 6plus from zero, so it will give you a considerable amount of additional run time without being too huge.I gave it to my wife who is constantly forgetting to charge her phone. Now she has a full charge in her purse without carrying a brick around. It is good for that kind of application - stick it in purse, a briefcase or something like that. It is a little bulky to go in your pocket regularly, more like something you can add to a bag without weighing it down much. It could be a backpacker reserve power supply just because it has a nice amount of power without being too enormous.There is no real indication of how much zip it has left - just a light that turns red when it is charging, green when it is fully charged. So basically, you use it - you should charge it. It comes with decent cables, an apple lightening cable and a micro-usb, so it should work with basically any newer phone and the construction quality looks fine - it should hold up for a while.

Great purchase. The downfalls are: it's pretty heavy. It says mini but it's a little larger (and heavier) than others I've seen. It's nothing horrible but should be noted. Also it comes with two cords. One for charging the charger and one for charging your phone (or other device) It would be nice if they could combine the two as I'm afraid I will loose one or not have the charging cord with me when needed. Outside of these items it works great! Fully charges my phone and quickly. Also I've had no issues with any fail warnings ("this charging device is not compatible with Apple products.. you know the one) It appears the certified Apple cords are legit. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

UPDATE: The product stopped taking a recharge for no reason within a year of purchase. I dropped my stars from 5 to 2 because of this. Should have lasted longer. I didn't overuse it. Was disappointed, because I liked the charger.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This charger does its job well and is small enough to tuck in my purse. I was unfamiliar with portable chargers so buying this product was a new adventure for me, but I needed the backup power it provided for a conference I was attending. Tested it out before I left home, and it charged my phone quickly and efficiently, and did the same on the road.

We love these little chargers. They work great and are compact. They charge my wife's I-phone just fine but won't fully charge my Note 4 but it'll get me home when I am using my Note heavily.3/27/2014 Update....Having a little trouble with them now. One of them still works but comes apart, the charging end comes out when I unplug the charger from the phone I am charging. The cables have all failed so I have to use other cables to charge my phone and the charger. It does get very hot while charging your devices so be aware of that. One of the three I bought no longer works.

I ordered the Lifeguard Mini for a conference my team and I were staffing. As expected, someone on the team ran out of power and my Lifeguard Mini came to the rescue. Then another needed charging. Two iPhone 5s were charged within an hour that night. The next day someone else with an iPhone 6 was saved by the Lifeguard Mini. The unit took several hours to charge, but yielded lots of power, is lightweight and very portable. I am glad I purchased it for these unexpected situations. I like that it comes with the charging cable, too.

This is holding up well in my backpack and also does well with holding a charge. I used it a few times to charge my ipod touch from less than half charged to full a few times. I recharged this device again just to be sure. Only thing is that when charging you have to kind of watch if you want your ipod fully charged, because sometimes it shows up as fully charged and once I unplug it it is not fully charged so I have to replug it in. It could just be my ipod, it has done that with regular adapters as well.

Love it! I bought this to use while we were in Disney because my iPhone drains the battery so fast and with the MyDisneyExperience App you NEED to have your phone available. It was great and worked perfectly for me! I brought a separate charger and charged it at night and then kept it in my bag during the day. By evening I plugged it into my phone and it fully charged it. The light that says it is charged never went off so I don't know if it is fully charged. I would highly recommend this! I ordered the pink and it is a great bright pink!

The event that I bought this for has not come up yet, but the seller is asking for feedback. I've gotten as far as charging the item. I am not sure it holds a charge very long and don't see where it says anything in the literature about that. I can hopefully come back and update the feedback once I have actually used the item. Here's hoping the charge holds and I recharge my phone without leaving it somewhere I have to worry about it's safety.
